Demi:
Demi Lovato, last seen riding back from the hospital with an undetermined man, has been supposedly locked up in her apartment for weeks now. No one has seen or heard from the Hollywood starlet, and all talk of her upcoming album has been hushed. Come on Lovatics, help us find out where Demi is!
Demi shut off the television annoyed, she looked at her phone, knowing that her mentions had been exploding for the past month but not desiring to read them, though they always cheered her up before. She was still in pain and mourning the loss of her unborn child, but she was almost feeling like she could eat again. There was a nagging in the back of her mind reminding her that no matter what recovery came first. Joe called at least twenty times a day, and eventually Demi started picking up, he was coming over in two hours, though she didn't feel as if they'd have anything to say to each other, she could barely look at the man without thinking of... But she knew she had to see him eventually, he was the only one that would actually know how she was feeling.
Joe:
Joe walked up to Demi's apartment door shaking, he was afraid to see her, despite how stupid that may sound. He knew she was in bad shape, and he didn't want to bring her more pain. He knocked their secret knock (one time, a pause, four times, another pause, and finally three knocks) so that she knew it was him and not the annoying papparazzi that had been dogging her for the past two weeks. She opened the door and quickly waved him in. He stepped back and looked at her for what seemed like the first time in years. She had baggy sweatpants on from some college in Texas, her hair fell dark and messily over her shoulders, completely natural and slightly shiny, she had dark circles under her eyes, and her skin was a shade paler than it had been when he last saw her; she was a mess, but she was still beautiful. There was a moment of tension between the two before Joe closed the space between them and enveloped Demi is a warm embrace. They stood like that for a few minutes, not saying anything, but finally mourning their loss together.
"I love you," Joe whispered, finishing his simple statement with a kiss on the top of her head. Demi looked up at him, her nose barely reaching his chin without her high heels on, and she smiled- a real smile that hadn't spread across her face in the longest time.
"I love you too," she replied quietly, and she nuzzled back into his chest. They stood there for at least half an hour, soaking in the presence of each other in silence, and when they finally pulled apart, they both smiled again. There was nothing else in the world but the two of them together, at last.

Demi and Joe:
"No you don't!" Demi jokingly yelled at Joe.
"I swear to you I do!" Joe yelled back, a smile on his face the entire time.
"Fine, then do it."
"I will." And with that Joe jumped up from his place on the couch and began shaking his hips incessantly. He had a goofy smile on his face as he performed each step of the 'Barden Bellas' dance without a mistake. He finished in a flight attendant-esc pose and looked at Demi for final approval. Her voice broke with her laughter that very quickly turned into the adorable cackle Joe knew well.
"What did I tell you?" Joe said with mock pride in his voice.
"I'm very impressed," Demi breathed out between gasps of laughter. Who knew Joe was such a dancing type? He looked at her with pure admiration in his eyes and fell back onto the couch, slipping his arm around her and bringing her in. He kissed her on the lips, though she haddn't stopped laughing, and ended up getting a mouthful of her teeth. But she soon quieted down and responded to the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and kicking her feet up onto his lap. They fit together better than two pieces of a broken heart. It was amazing how being together had made both of them feel so much better. This was something that neither of them would ever forget, but they knew they would both have to move on, and together they were finding their ways back. Joe's hands moved up Demi's belly and slowly cupped each of her breasts. He found his way to the buttons of her shirt and just as his fingers began undressing her the doorbell rang, causing both to jump in fright. Joe pulled back with a confused look on his face, but Demi was equally as dumbfounded. She slid out from underneath Joe's body and buttoned up her shirt as she trotted to the door, she looked through her peephole, expecting an old man with a camera, as usual, but saw no one. She opened the door to see a girl walking away shaking her head, her long dark hair swaying as she did so. When she heard the door open, the girl turned around. The light from the sinking sun played across the girl's face, illuminating her dark brown eyes, and allowing Demi to see her whole face. For a moment neither of the girls said anything, then the girl quietly said, "Hi, Demi." Demi didn't respond at first, she was still trying to wrap her mind around the fact that she was here.
"Hi... Selena."
