To recommend eating three cupcakes in a row would be cruel of me, wouldn't it?
So I won't, instead I'll tell you how light headed I was. Which was odd, but being dizzy and trying not to fall down the stairs was on the top of my priority list.
It was probably just the universe telling me one cupcake would have been plenty.
I wonder if this is how magic brownies made you feel. I'd always heard it gave you the munchies and kept you chill.
But if it was anything like this, I'd never do it again.
It took two tries for me to get up the stairs, let alone through my bedroom door and onto my bed. Which I all but collapsed on.
The only thing I remember before drifting off to sleepy land, is Kara setting something on my nightstand, then nothing.
----
I woke up at 2 o'clock. In the afternoon. That's right, the AFTERNOON.
So much to my goddamn dismay, when I looked at my clock, I fell off the bed.
Which really, REally hurt.
But luckily nothing felt broken, although I somehow knew that I would have a big bruise on my butt later.
Stupid wood floors.
Anyway, I was a bit confused that Kara hadn't woken me up earlier. So I groggily went downstairs.
The lights were all still on from last night. (Thanks cupcake self). And when I looked outside in the swimming pool, Kara wasn't in it.
If I knew her, she'd already be soaking up some pool time.
Her room was empty too, the bed still made from when I did it yesterday.
Not to mention the room smelled stale and dusty. Like no one lived in it.Oh, that thought hurt.
Dang it, where was she?
