Kristen's POV
Italy was crazily stunning.
I almost forgot how it looked like for a millisecond... I almost forgot how I loved it here, almost.
Diana surprised Nathan and I by handing us the keys to a red Lamborghini, which was my mother's, before we left and Nathan was so excited to ride it, very excited.
"I can't believe your mom has a freakin' Lamborghini! Holy shit!" Nathan exclaimed, trying to focus on the road with a face splitting grin.
"Yeah, she bought this three years ago but never used it. She told me to take it off her hands but I didn't need it." I said, putting on round-framed sunglasses and felt the air blowing on my face.
"Well for one thing, you're mom picks the sickest cars." he stated and I hummed in agreement.
"So where does Sophia stay? Does she have friends that have houses here in Italy or is she staying at a hotel?" I asked, swiping my hair back from my face.
"I think she's staying at her friend, Trisha's house. Her family owns restaurants here and there, family business." he informed me, shrugging.
I saw him squint, trying to lessen the sunlight that's blinding him. I stifled a giggle when he tried to open his eyes but he just went back to squinting.
Seeing his sunglasses hooked on his shirt, I took it and gently placed it on his face"Thanks." he said with a smile, glancing at me.
"No problem." I smiled back.
I snapped a photo of us on my camera and laughed at how silly I looked.
"I wasn't looking." Nathan said, focusing on the road with a smile.
"You weren't supposed to look." I said with a chuckle.
He continued on driving but stopped at a store that sells merchandises, parking the car in an empty space.
"Wait, what are we doing here? I thought we were going to find Sophia?" I asked as Nathan went out the car.
He opened my door, gesturing for me to get out to which I hesitantly complied.
"Thought we should roam around for a few minutes or so. I want to buy something for her, peace offering." he said with a shrug.
"Oh. Okay." I mumbled, giving a tight smile and walking toward the store.
When we entered, there were a few people inside the store. Some were foreigners like us and some were locals.
"Welcome to Italics!" a girl with beautiful brown coloured skin behind a counter greeted as I smiled at her.
"I'll just go around, okay?" Nathan bid before disappearing down an aisle.
I went around the store myself, don't know what I'm looking for but just walked around. There were so many things seen by my eyes like big and small paintings of Spanish women either dancing around or having a bowl of fruit on their heads, empty picture frames, merchandises, accessories, shirts, etc.
I was supposed to go back and find Nathan but something beautiful caught my eye. Walking closer to the object, I reached for it and attempted grab it but someone bumped into me, causing me to stumble forward and almost knocking down a pile of jewellery in front of me.
"Ow." I hissed, bumping elbow on a metal bar.
"Sorry miss... I didn't see you." the guy, with an American accent, apologised, his eyes looking directly at me.
I shook my head with a smile. "It's cool." I assured him, making the man smile back.
"American, yes?" he questioned and I replied with a nod.
