Rumples POV
For what felt like the millionth time, I typed Belles number into my cell. As it had done every time - it failed.
Keep calm Gold, let's try one more time...
And one more time it failed.
I throw my phone onto the bed, exasperated.
I need to speak to her!!
Just hear her voice - even for just a second!
The ache in my heart is getting heavier and heavier every day not seeing her. Knowing exactly where she is - is making all this even worse...
Picturing her in all of our usual spots sent a sharp pain through my chest. Sleeping soundly in our bed, spinning slightly on our high chairs in the kitchen, wrapped up warm in a cute scarf and coat walking down the lane, frowning slightly trying to decide what to order at Granny's, the frown vanishing into a smile as I suggest burgers and ice tea.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
I never thought I would feel this way about anyone.
But I do.
And the pain is killing me.

Deciding to try and take my mind off her, I lay out the map onto my bed.
Noah in my arms, i gently bob her as i study the map.
My eyes trail the small line heading toward New York.
If I can get there, I have to find someone who can help me get back.
But who?
Who?!
"Hey Mr Gold," Oliver made his way in.
"Ooh you've already started," he stood beside me.
"Yes..." i murmured, still deep in thought.
Who could help me....
"So you're planning to go to New York...that's a good quick route," Oliver's fingers slid across a thin line.
"Mhh that's what I was thinking..." I replied.
"Once you get there, what then?" He asked.
I sighed, looking at Noah.
I have no idea...
Oliver understood and went to put the kettle on.
Why can't I think of anyone - oh wait - because everyone with magic is still in Storybrooke.
I'm never getting back.
"For starters, you could go to a bank, ATM machine? So you can get everything you need, things like clothes and essentials?" He suggested.
"Mhh..." I answered flatly.
"And then, you can.... Maybe try and contact someone there?" He suggested.
I could try Belles phone on a other device I guess.
Why hadn't I thought of that.
"Oliver, give me your phone?" Hope surged through me.
"Sure, here," he slid it out of his pocket and handed it to me.
Not even hesitating, I punch in Belles number and held it to my ear, my heart pounding.
The sound of the call connecting made my heart skip a beat.
Come on darling, pick up, come on.
"...hello...?" A quiet voice sniffed.
"Belle!" I breathe, just hearing her voice overwhelming me.
There was silence and then,
"...rumple?" Her voice was shocked, unbelieving.
"Yes! Yes it's me!" I looked up to stop the tears.
"How did - how are you doing this-" her voice was flustered.
"It doesn't matter - all that matter is that I'm ok, and I'll be back - soon," I cut her off.
"Oh Rumple where are you..." she started to cry.
"Please don't cry sweetheart, it's okay, I'm fine, Noah's fine," I soothed her.
Suddenly the whimpering stopped.
Silence.
"...darling?" I asked, anxious.
"...my baby...." Was all I could hear.
"She's fine - she's fine! Getting more and more beautiful each day! Just like her momma!" I sniffed.
"Tell her... Tell her I love her..." Belles voice was shaky.
"I do, every day," my words cracked.
"How are you my love? What's going on in Storybrooke?" I asked quickly.
"...the snow queen...she's gone," she just about managed to say.
A wave of relief spread over me.
"So she's not hurting you... Thank god..." I breathed.
"...Rumple I can't do this..."
"I know this is hard-"
"I thought if I spoke to you, I would be ok, but Rumple, it's making it worse..." She cried.
"I know I know, but I had to tell you I was ok, that we were ok," I told her.
"I know..."
I wiped an escaped tear from my eye.
"I love you - both - very much - please don't forget that..."
"I love you so much Belle, and I'm coming back! Please, please don't lose hope!" I urged her.
"I believe I already have..."
"No! I'm coming back! I will!"
I heard Belles small laugh/sniff on the other end of the phone.
"And I'll be right here when you do," she sniffed.
I looked to Oliver who was nervously shuffling his feet.
"I have to go now sweetheart..." It broke my heart to say.
"Oh..." She replied sadly.
"Don't worry, I will call soon, i promise..." I tried to stay strong for her - but it's not working.
"I love you," we both said.
I hesitated, before ending the call.
She's right.
Hearing her voice has only made my longing for her worsen.
