Rumples POV
I stared over into the backseat, Oliver was motionless.
A pang of guilt spread through me and I turned back around. I feel ill. What have I done...
I said I'd do anything to get my Belle back, but, could I risk a life? Oliver's life? He's done so much for me and look at how I've repaid him...
Why don't I just turn around? Speed back to the nearest hospital.
But I can't.
I physically can't.
My brain is yelling at me to turn around, but my body is rigid, making no attempt to turn the wheel around.
We'd reached the larger red dot, the townline which was invisible to us.
As I stared around at the forest, memories of the last time I'd been here flooded through me.
Belles distraught face filled my head, I could feel the rain, the cold, seeping into my clothes, right through to my skin. I remember Noah. How young she was. Still a baby. No trace of character just yet, except her unique eyes. But now, she had little blonde dark blonde curls appearing all over her head, her eyes getting bigger and more fascinating everyday.Suddenly my phone started to buzz.
"Belle?" I knew it was her.
"Rumple - we're her," she breathed, I don't think she can quite believe it.
"Belle you truly are brilliant, well done my darling!" I shouted with happiness.
She laughed and I can only image the pink blush rushing to her cheeks at this very moment, those cheeks that I will see any moment now.
From the phone I could hear what sounded like Regina and Emma muttering in the background.
"Is everything going to plan?" I asked her.
"Yes, it looks like it, I'm not really sure how this sort of thing happens....but I'm completely sure Regina and Emma know what they are doing," she said with added confidence.
I smiled to myself.
My Belle. My beautiful, clever, non-magic Belle.
"...Rumple...?" Belles quiet voice asked.
"Yes my love...?" I asked back.
"Just...just checking you were there..." She said sheepishly.
I chucked again,
"Of course," I smiled.
"Good..." She signed,
"And...N...Noah?" She stuttered slowly.
"Yes she's here," I reached over and brushed Noah's little soft cheek.
"How is she..." It sounded like Belle was chewing her lip, that was how she held back tears.
The thought of her crying makes me feel pain inside.
"She's fine, excited to see her Momma," I tried to save her feelings.
"Hmm..." Belle's sad little laugh came through. She knows I can't possibly know that.
"Oh- how is you friend?" Belle suddenly gasped.
"Not so good, I'd much appreciate it if the others hurried themselves a little more," I asked urgently
I could hear Belles voice, saying something, but her mouth was too far away from the phone for me to hear properly.
"Belle?"
"Yes, they are nearly done, give it a couple more - secon-"
Before she finished her sentence, a bright light filled my vision.
Suddenly I could see her.
My heart stopped.
There she was, her harm still holding the phone to her ear, biting her nails with a nervous look on her beautiful, tired face.
Ripping my eyes away from her I spot Regina and Emma, both their arms folded, scowls forming.
They are more alike than they care to admit, now even more so.
I haven't missed that...
Slowly, I turned the car engine on again and drove over the now clear line.
As soon as I stopped, I jumped out and ripped open the back doors.
"Oliver?" I said, slapping his pale face a little in an attempt to wake him.
His eyes flickered but never opened, a moan escalating his lips.
"We need to get him to a hospital," I panicked, looking at Regina.
"I don't think that will be necessary," Emma stood over me.
"Regina," she motioned to come toward us.
Regina unfolded her arms and came over, slightly pushing me out of her way.
Taking a deep breath, slowly, Regina waved her hand along Oliver's wound. Completely healing it.
Magic.
Why did I not think of that?!
Feeling slightly stupid I stood up.
Suddenly, I felt a tiny hand on my back.
"He's going to be fine," Belles voice said.
I turned around and her hand fell from my back.
She looked nervous.
I feel nervous.
Why, she's my wife?
Seeing her overwhelmed me and I closed the gap between us not being able to be away from her for any longer. I pushed her into my chest and wrapped my arms around her, burying my face into her hair, cradling her head with one hand.
I forgot how small she was, how fragile. I forgot how perfect we fit together.
She wrapped her small arms around me and nestled into my chest.
"....Belle...." I breathed, over and over again.
She looked up toward me, forcing my face out of her neck.
Our faces were so close.
Our foreheads touching, eyes completely absorbing one another.
"You were right," her smile was dazzling.
"That's unlike me...." I laughed, softly.
"You knew we'd see each other again," she squeezed me even tighter.
Both of my hands sub-consciously had moved to both sides of her face.
"I missed you," I breathed, studying all the details of her face.
"I don't think that even covers what I felt," she sighed, her eyes dropped.
I raised her chin with my finger, before replacing it back on her soft cheek.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you," she leaned up and for the first time in what felt like years, our lips locked together.
As we kissed, my hands tucked her hair behind her ear and caressed her neck.
After a few seconds, I heard whispering next to us.
"Shhh Regina, no, let them have their moment...." I heard Emma scold.
I broke away gently and looked over.
I heard Belle moan sadly as I pulled away.
Not letting Belle move an inch away, I looked over at the pair beside me.
"Can't I have a moment alone with my wife?" I asked, a little sarcastic.
"Of course, but I'm a little worried you've forgotten about the stranger in your car?" Regina said sarcastically.
Right, Oliver.
Kissing Belle one more time, I grabbed Belles hand and led her toward the car, still having to hold a part of her.
Oliver was now sat up, sitting on the backseat but his feet were on the ground.
He looked much better, but still a little white.
"Hey son," I crouched to his height, Belle placing her hands on my shoulders.
"How are you doing?" I asked.
"...ok....I guess...." He said shyly.
He looked up and noticed Belle for the first time.
He looked back at me,
"Is that...?" He voice trailed off as he looked at her again.
"Yes, this is my Belle," I placed one of my hands on Belles on my shoulders and squeezed it.
"Hello," she said, equally as shy.
"Hi, I'm Oliver," he smiled politely.
"Yes I know," she said sweetly.
"I've heard you've taken care of my husband for me, I can never repay you for everything you've done for him, truly, thank you," she said.
I looked up at her.
She didn't have to say that.
I squeezed her hand again lovingly, God i love her.
"No problem, he had my back too," he smiled back.
Suddenly the guilt washed back.
I didn't really.
In fact I was extremely selfish....
"Oh and can I just say, you have the most wonderful daughter," Oliver smiled up at Belle.
I heard her breathing stop.
I looked up, her face was white.
Her head snapped toward the passenger seat of the car.
She gulped and made her way to the other side of the car.
I followed her, not letting her out of my sight for one second.
Slowly she opened the door and leaned in.
I heard her gasp a little.
"She...she's so big...." Belle said, barely a whisper.
"Yes but, she's still...." I tried to find the words to reassure Belle that she hadn't missed much, that Noah was still a baby.
Gently Belle picked up the sleeping Noah and held her in her arms.
"Beautiful..." I couldn't help but mutter at the sight of my wife and child, together.
Belle leaned forward and kissed Noah on the forehead softly.
Suddenly Noah's closed eyes wrinkled and a loud wail started to come from her tiny mouth.
Belle looked up, panicked.
"Shhh," she bobbed her gently, but Noah continued to cry.
"Shhhh my baby...." Belle whispered.
Nothing Belle could do would stop her.
"Let me try," I took Noah from Belle's arms in a smooth transition.
Belles face fell even more as Noah stopped crying and a content gurgle was the only noise she made.
Belle swallowed.
I looked up at her.
Her blue eyes were watching Noah sadly.
"She'll get used to you, you're her momma," I said comfortingly.
Belle didn't reply but bit her lip.
"Come here love..." I said softly, reaching my arm out, Belle cuddling into it.
This seems so unreal.
I have both of my loves right here, both in my arms.
I never want this beautiful moment to end.-------------------------------------
