You stare into the vast sky filled with feathery clouds and its beautiful blue hue. From this view the world isn't so bad. It's not so evil, not so violent. But, that's just an illusion. You breathe in the sweet air. It's not so bad here...not really...you try to convince yourself that at least. It doesn't work. You sit up on the grass you were previously laying on. Your hair falls onto your shoulders and you start biting the inside of your cheek, not realizing it of course. You're feeling more stressed than usual because you had been given notice that you were to meet up with captain Levi, yeah the captain Levi. You couldn't even begin to imagine what he wants with you. Did you do something wrong? Did you say something wrong? You saw him every now and then and didn't mind his presence because he wasn't exactly hard to look at. You took a deep breath and started towards the building you were called to meet at. Hanji appeared out of nowhere with their famous smile. "Y/l/n, I assume based on your being here you got my letter!"

"Yeah I got it, but I was just wondering exactly what-" you began.

"Oh good!" Hanji smiled again. "You look nervous...you're not scared of Levi are you?!"

Your eyes widened in embarrassment, was my anxiety that noticeable?? "Oh...haha...no I'm not scared of him" you faked a smile. Hanji looked you over closely and gave a doubtful look but didn't say anything else for awhile. You two walked toward his office and you kept biting your cheek. You knew you should stop that habit, but you couldn't. Hanji looked over at you as you reached his door. "Well....good luck!" She opened the door for you practically shoving you in. You stumbled into the room almost falling on your face. You grew red as Levi just sat staring at you bewildered by your entrance. You thought to yourself, "seriously hanjiiii whyyy?" You quickly stood up straight and put your hand to your heart saluting Levi. "Captain" you simply stated. He looked amused by how flustered you were but you figured that was your imagination. Levi stood from his desk and leaned on the corner of it. You were a few inches taller than Levi, but you didn't really consider him short in comparison to yourself so you didn't understand why people mentioned his height so much. His grey...blue?...a color in between you guessed...eyes glanced at you then kept a long stare on you. This didn't help your stress at all. He began, "so, do you know why I called you here y/l/n?" You stutter out a, "I-I don't actually sir." He fidgets with a tea cup sitting on his desk. You notice he has really pretty hands...what...oh come on pay attention. You look at his eyes trying to focus on the situation in front of you.
"Well y/n, I seem to be needing some extra help on my squad. As you know, at least I assume you do, Eren Yeager and his friends are a part of my squad..." he says he looks at you and you give him a small nod not knowing what else to do. He continues, "y/n, Hanji has told me you are very skilled at what you do and I think you could really benefit my team." He was being so nice and you didn't expect it from someone that gives off such a cold and harsh vibe. He adds, "so what do you say?" Your eyes light up with excitement. You didn't expect this meeting to be anything like this. You were relieved and so happy. Your cheeks turned a rosy pink color. "I would be honored sir!" You answer. You give another salute. He seems entertained by your actions which makes you feel a tinge of embarrassment. Levi adjusts his shirt collar and grabs his tea cup sitting back down. You stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do. He says, "the whole squad is here in the small house next to this building. You can stay there now. That's all." You give a small smile and respond, "thank you sir." You look at his eyes a little longer than you should have and as you realize you quickly go out of his office before you can see if he noticed. You mentally scold yourself, "why are you like this?!" You wander around until you find the house. It's small and kind of cute. It even has some flowers out in the front. You hear people inside talking and laughing. A wave of anxiety flows over you.

You and Sasha were friends as children, but you hadn't seen her in awhile. Things just got busy and life happens and all that. But, even so, knowing at least one of them was going to help you. You held onto that fact and used it to fuel yourself to open the door to meet your new comrades.
