Levi x Reader: Yes Sir

The Meeting

You turn the door handle and open the door with an obnoxious screech. The group inside goes silent at your intrusion. Your eyes scan over them seeing their blank expressions and you cringe a little at how awkward you feel. To your luck, Sasha's eyes brighten as she exclaims, "Y/n!! You're here!" She runs over toward you picking you up into a hug and swinging you around. You smile and laugh in surprise by her reaction and you two make small talk. Sasha wraps her arm around your shoulder turning to the others.
She starts, "well guys this is y/n. We go waaaayyyy back. Kinda. Anyway you better treat her nicely or you'll have me to face."

Connie adds, "oh so scaryyyy."

"Hey!"

He laughs and you have to try to hold in a giggle.
You smile and say, "it's nice to meet you all" and Armin says, "you too" and the others just nod. You get the feeling you're not that welcome here, but you try to ignore that as you believe it might just be your own insecurities talking. Your eyes meet Eren's and you try to hide your excitement, but ultimately fail. You had seen him in titan form once, but it was from pretty far away and you hadn't met him in person. Mikasa directed her gaze towards you.

"Your gawking is embarrassing...you do realize that right?" She says.

Your face gets red from embarrassment and you say, "sorry...I just-"

Jean laughs and adds, "Do we have ourselves another Hanji? Eren better keep one eye open or she might try something."

Eren says, "You're just jealous because no one ever looks at you like that horse face."

Jean contorts, "wanna say that again freak?"

The two boys get closer to each other obviously angry and about to fight. All you can do is stand there embarrassed, but realizing you caused the situation you say, "please stop...I know I haven't been around for all the insane stuff you've been through and I don't know you all that well. It's probably annoying having me just randomly show up, but I all I want to do is help."

Eren turns towards you. "No it's cool we're glad to have you here. Sasha has told us great things about you. Don't worry about it."

Jean laughs and Eren elbows him in his ribs. Jean and him quietly insult each other for minutes more, but that's just the usual. Sasha says, "yeah don't worry about it they're always like this it's not because of you." She smiles and you do too. Mikasa gives you a weird look that leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. You wished she didn't look at you like that since you also were excited to see her. You'd heard she was very skilled and fights similar to Levi. You just had to let that go for now. Connie says, "anyway...let's eat!" You looked at the table before you filled with bread and potatoes that looked like someone had already eaten. Connie notices it too and adds, "hey! Who ate the potatoes?!" Sasha moves awkwardly behind you. The group starts arguing, but you can tell it's playful and so you just laugh. You realize it's going to be an interesting time with these guys.

You, Armin, and Sasha were in deep conversation about outside the walls. Armin says, "yeah I've read about the sea-" you interject, "you have?!"
"Well yes I have, but obviously I wasn't supposed to so let's keep that between us okay?"
Sasha gives him a sarcastic salute, but Armin understands it to be genuine nonetheless. He says, "as I was saying the sea is supposed to be so vast and beautiful and so if...I mean when we get out of these walls I am going to see it. I've made a promise to myself to." You say, "well you're gonna have to take me with you because I wanna see it too." You smile and so does he. Sasha breaks pieces off of her loaf of bread she's been holding and eats them. You lean back in your chair and sigh. Armin, out of nowhere says, "I'm really glad you joined our squad." You look over at him and a smile breaks out on your face, "me too." Sasha stands up throwing her hands in the air, "me three!" You all laugh. You think to yourself, "what was I even worried about? This is going to be great."

The door bursts open with a smack. You jump a little from the loud noise. You turn to the doorway to see Levi with his emotionless expression. You survey the room to see how the others react, being that you don't know exactly how to. Levi looks at the ground around the table. He says, "what the hell is this?" He kicks crumbs on the floor with his foot in disgust. The environment in the room grows tense. Sasha stands and responds, "we were just about to clean that up." She gives a weak smile.

"Right." He struts through the house on his way to his room and glances at you. His stone eyes burning through your own and adds, "better get on with it then." You feel a wave of anxiety flow over you. The squad stands to fetch the cleaning supplies. With Levi having left the room, Eren says, "here we go again." You assume based on that statement that this must happen a lot. Jean says sighing, "here we go again..."
