M A Y
This continued for two more days. On the fifth day when I came back to class, he was back in his seat, looking down at his phone.
I stop at our desks, I need to sit in that seat for six more days. He can't change his mind now.
Feeling my presence, he looks up at me, his black hair falling in front of his eyes and he raises his brow in question.
"Can I site here today?" I ask, hoping he would understand.
"No," he says without a thought and he goes back to using his phone.
I frown. I can't sit in any other seat. What of my family gets hurt if I dont sit in that desk again.
I can't attend class today.
I think of my mom and thoughts start to fill my mind. She's gonna get hurt.
I cannot sit in that desk today because he said no.
With a racing heart, I exit the classroom and just walk into the library, making my way to the bookshelves.
I stand there, going through books the whole time. Tapping spines six times once I keep them back.
When the bell rings I make my way back to the classroom and enter the empty room.
Once I enter the empty classroom I look for Owen's desk. Once I finally find it I quickly make my way towards it.
Finally sitting down in the chair, I sigh. Everyone's safe now.
I look at my watch and I check the time and leave the classroom at the minute mark, only to find him standing outside the classroom.
He's staring at me, his head tilted. I tap my feet three times each to calm down and his blue eyes shift to them.
I look down to my feet and look back up at him. Our eyes meet, he's holding a glint. His lips curl up a little before he leaves, and I stand there confused.
