Few days later

I sit in my desk and tap six times only to here four taps back.
Looking to my side I'm greeted by his smirking face and I look away, trying not to smile, but failing.
It's our way of hello. I tap and he taps back. It's our code and I like it.
It makes me comfortable because there's someone who only doesn't find it weird that I have the need to do this but knows why I need to do it.
Into the lesson, I see his phone light up and his face changes. Seriousness taking over as his eyes harden.
When the bell rings he rushes out and I follow him.
He stands in front of his locker, knocking on it four times as my six knocks follow him.
He looks up at the sound of my knocks and his eyes hold so much anger that I step back.
"Are you okay?" I ask and he closes his eyes, resting his forhead on his locker.
"Owen.." I place my hand on his shoulder but he jerks it away.
"Not now May," he grits out.
I notice his feet tapping continuously. He's controlling himself.
"Can I help-"
"I said now now May! Can you please leave me alone," he snaps and I shut up.
He wasn't loud but the people walking by heard him.
I nod at him. I don't want to cause trouble. I don't want to say anything wrong.
He's tired of me now. I'll just shut up and leave.
And that's what I do.
I leave and check the time. Taking deep breaths according to particular time intervals. I go to my second class.
