Johnny's kid sister

Chapter 3

Johnny's POV (everything is in Jess's POV unless I say so)

After I made Jess breakfast, I headed to the Curtis's. When I got there, Darry was the only one awake. It was only 8:00 after all. I love Darry. He took me in and has given me a place to stay when I need it. He has not only been Pony and Soda's father like figure, but mine too. "Hey Johnny. Want some breakfast?" He asked. "Nah thanks I already ate. Hey is Dally out of the cooler yet?" Right as I said that, he walked through the door with a weed in between his teeth. "Johnny man, how you been," Dally asked me. "Hey Dal, and could be better. My parents have been fighting a lot more than usual lately, and I've gotten a few rough beatings, but other than that I've spent most of my time here," I answered. After a couple minutes of silence, Soda walked out of the bathroom in only a towel. Looks like he's gonna be late to wok again today, this has happened so many times I'm surprised he hasn't been fired. Everyone was awake now and at the Curtis's; Darry, Soda, and Steve all getting ready to go to work. Two-bit had turned the TV on to Mickey Mouse so I sat their watching it with him. He is obsessed with that show. After Pony finished eating, he came and sat down on the couch right next to me. "You wanna go for a walk, Johnny," Pony asked me with a look of boredom on his face. Mickey Mouse never really interested Pony that much, but I understand that. I don't care much for the show either, but never tell that to Two-bit. "Sure, lets go," I responded to Pony. "We're going on a walk. See you guys later," Pony said to whoever was listening in the house. We walked out the front door towards my house. When we got in front of my house, I started getting a feeling in my stomach like something bad was gonna happen. I shrugged it off and kept walking. We made it to the park and stopped by the swing set. I haven't been in the swings since I was a small child, when my parents never fought. we sat down and enjoyed the summer weather. Today wasn't too hot and wasn't too cold. It was perfect.we got up and headed back to the house in silence, taking in the scenery around us. We made it back to the Curtis house and went to sit on the couch. Pony, Dally, and I then decided to go to the drive in movie theater.

During the middle of the movie, I started getting that feeling in my stomach again. I tried to shake it off, but it just kept coming back. I can't think of anything bad that could happen to me. Then a thought pops into my head. Jessica. I stood up and sprinted out of the theater not even telling Dally and Pony where I was going.

Jessica's POV

I woke up at the bottom of the stairs, my body hurting all over. All the memories of what happened came back to me and I turned my head frantically looking to see if I could see my parents. they weren't there, so they are either in their room or they're not home. Hopefully it's the second option. I tried getting up but couldn't. I struggled as I kept trying, when I heard the front door being unlocked. The first thought that came to my head was. my parents. I started panicking when the door opened and I heard footsteps running into the house. Was it my parents? Have they come back to hurt me again? What am I going to do? The footsteps headed toward the stairs, where I was at. I layed back down and closed my eyes hoping that if it was my parents that they would let me go if I was unconscious. The footsteps reached where I was laying and stopped. I felt arms wrap around my body and pick me up. I slowly opened my eyes and saw my favorite person the the entire world. Johnny. Then I blacked out.

Again sorry the chapters are short they will get longer. I am on spring break and in St. Louis so I don't have much time. thanks for reading! I will try to update as much as possible, with longer chapters. p.s. She is going to meet the gang soon!!!
