Chapter 5

Jessica's POV

After introducing myself to everyone, we all settled down and watched Mickey Mouse with two-bit, who I found was obsessed with the show. Darry, Soda, and Steve all had to leave for work so it was just me, Johnny, Dally, Two-bit, and Ponyboy left. Oh Ponyboy. I was definitely falling for him. I can't fall for my brothers best friend, but I couldn't help myself. Just then Dally asked us if we wanted to go to the drive in movie. I was the first to say that I would go, with Pony responding right after. Everyone thought it was a good idea, so we all started walking there. We had just small random conversations until Two-bit asked a certain question."So Johnny, why didn't you ever introduce us to Jessica, and why now?" Everyone went silent wanting to know the answer to that question. My guess, is that everyone was wondering that but just never really wanted to ask, but now someone did. Johnny answered back after a short moment of silence. "Well, I always wanted you guys to meet Jessica, but I didn't want her to get involved with the whole Socs and Greasers thing. So I just thought if she stayed home all the time, nothing would happen to her, cause our parents never touched her so I didn't have to worry about that. Then yesterday I came home and there she was, laying at the bottom of the stairs, all beat and bruised. That's when I realized it wasn't safe for her to be home alone with our parents anymore, and I decided that since she had been wanting to meet you guys, I would take her to meet you," Johnny said. My eyes started tearing up when he started talking about our parents. Though I never had a very strong love or bond with them, they were still my parents, so it is hard to get over the fact that they don't love you. Pony realized my teary eyes and put an arm around me and started comforting me. We walked the rest of the way there in silence with Ponyboy's arm still wrapped around me.

When we reached the drive in, we headed to the back. I wondered what we were doing back here because the entrance was up front. I saw a hole large enough to fit a person through in the fence and watched Dally go through it. Everyone else started going through it one by one until it was my turn. I wasn't so sure about this. I don't really plan on getting in trouble tonight, and if I get caught, I will for sure. I let it slide and started sliding under the fence. once I was almost out, Pony extended his had to help me up, and I took it. Every time I touch him, tingles soar throughout my body. I think I am in love with Ponyboy Curtis.

Ponyboy's POV

I extended my hand for Jessica to take, and she did. I pulled her the rest of the way from under the fence and felt tingles from where she held my hand. I think I'm in love with Jessica Cade.

Johnny's POV

After I went all the way under the fence, I turned around to help Jessica, but it seems that Ponyboy beat me to it. something is going on between them. I can tell Jessica has feelings for Pony, and I don't want her to get hurt. We continued walking to the seats in a comfortable silences hen we all sat down, and I noticed that Pony moved to sit next to Jessica. She looked over at him and smiled. He better not hurt her.

Jessica's POV

I sat down, and saw out of the corner of my eye, Pony get out of his seat and move over next to me. I looked over and smiled. The movie started so I sat back in the chair and started to watch. About half way through the movie, I heard snoring a couple seats away. I looked over and saw Dally sleeping. I decided, maybe I can have some fun with this😈. "Oh, that girl over there sure is pretty," I said loud enough dally would be able to hear. He jumped up out if his seat in a sleepy daze screaming "Where? Where is she?" Johnny, Pony, Two-bit, and I all bursts out laughing while some really nice dressed,rich looking kids started cussing him out and telling him to shut up and sit down. Dal got a confused look on his face, which quickly turned into a look that said, "I know what you just did and I'm going to kill you." I jumped out of my seat and started running. I made it to the fence and turned around to see if Dally was anywhere close. I saw him about 100 yards away looking around, trying to find me. I started crawling under the fence when someone grabbed my feet and pulled me back under. I let out a startled scream and looked at who was holding my feet, knowing already who it was. "Your gonna pay for that ya know," Dally said throwing me over his shoulder. I started screaming for help while laughing, "Johnny! Pony! Two-bit! HELP!" They all ran over laughing and said, "Alright come on Dal, your gonna get us kicked out of here. Get her back when we get to the Curtis's." He laughed and put me down. "You know what, this movie's kinda boring anyway. Lets just head out, and we can stop at Dairy Queen to grab a bite to eat," Dal stated starting for the hole in the fence. They really need to fix that.

We made it to Dairy Queen and I wasn't hungry cause I had popcorn at the movie, so I didn't get anything. I say there while they all ate, every once and awhile sneaking a peek at Ponyboy. Man was he gorgeous. I couldn't stop thinking about his beautiful features and his caring, kind personality. After staring for a little while (not meaning to be creepy), he caught me and I quickly looked away. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him with a little smile and slight blush, while Dal on the other hand, who must have seen the whole thing was smirking. Once everyone finished their food, we started walking back to the Curtis's. Pony and I fell behind everyone a little bit. We started talking about random things, like our favorite animal and favorite movie, when all of a sudden he stopped and looked at me then leaned in and planted a kiss on my lips. I was so surprised then it got even better. "Jessica Cade, will you be my girl?"

Ponyboy's POV

I planted a kiss on her lips and pulled away. I was going to ask her the question I have been wanting to ask her since I first laid eyes on her. "Jessica Cade, will you be my girl?" She looked completely surprised but wasn't answering. I started getting worried. I got a look of sadness on my face, and she noticed she hadn't said anything yet, and then finally answered. "Yes Ponyboy, I would love to!" I put the biggest smile on my face and pulled her into a hug. Then she asked, "What about Johnny? What if he doesn't approve?" "Don't worry I already asked him while you were being chased by Dally," I answered. At that she smiled and we caught up with the other 3 and started walking back hand in hand. This was the best day ever!

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I have track going on and if I want to make it to state again this year, I really have to push myself and focus a lot on track. I really want to place this year. I hope you all understand. Finally, I am having a contest for someone to be in the story. I need 3 people. One will be Johnny's girlfriend, one Two-bits girlfriend, and one Dallys girlfriend. They probably won't appear until later in the story, but I need a name and description(personality and physical) for each person. Just comment your people please. Thank you!!!
