The pool wasn't deep, only a few inches of freshwater submerged her talons. Which, when she looked down, was distorted by the calm, flowing water. The liquid shined, and reflected every glimmer of her chartreuse and forest colored scales.
Hazel twitched her tail, and she looked back up to what was there before her. Two young dragonets were playing on the other end of the shallow pool. One seemed to have sand dragon like characteristics, along with large wings, and a red lower body. Possibly a sky dragon. SkyWing? Is that what they're called?
The other had a beautiful green body, which a lighter blue as an accent color. It's frills expanded, and flew up as the two pounce and play.
The surrounding environment was much different from Pantala. There were different biomes, everywhere. There was quite a bit of sand from where they had rested three nights before, but the biome changes drastically for each kingdom. It seemed that each kingdom had its own type of dragon who inhabits the different kingdoms. It was quite beautiful. Except, where she is now, many different kinds of dragon exist together in Possibility. It was even more beautiful. No violence amongst them, no mind control.
There are dragons that weren't one single tribe. There are hybrids. There is peace.
Could this be the future of Pantala? To have each dragon to co-exist peacefully? No mind control, ... no forbidden love?Hazel thought about Blue. She thought about how they had basically told him to help mind control every SilkWing. It's my fault. How they're all being mind controlled right now. Its my fault. He's still there at the other, chaotic continent, the horrible Pantala. Oh Blue... what are they doing to you? Torture? I know how badly Wasp wants your silk. She swallowed, pushing the thought down. She took a step out of the pool, and shook off the water that didn't drip away immediately.
Hazel dug her talons in the soil and grass, almost tearing it straight from the ground.
It won't happen. Whatever those ten dragon are doing ... it won't work. We're outnumbered. The queen will tear apart this world... no one is safe.Tears fell down Hazel's face. Her tears felt cold, and they sunk into the grooves of her scales. They aren't safe... not with Wasp controlling them. None of us are.
She turned her head, feeling a cool breeze. An IceWing stood before her. She had cold eyes, and a cold exterior. Possibly all IceWings give off the same vibe. Her wings were silver and white. As she spread them more evenly, getting comfortable after had just trotted to Hazel's location, she noticed that there were small scattered navy scales across her wings. She looked up at her face and realized there were also some on her snout.
"You're Queen Hazel, right?" The silver dragon spoke softly, yet firm. She clearly needed to speak with her.
"Yes, I am." Hazel stammered, almost unable to speak. "Why?"
The IceWing shifted her claws, and sat down next to Hazel. She found herself looking back into the pool, and she saw that the two dragonets from earlier had already ran off.
"Queen Hazel, I know how you might be feeling — I'm not saying that I've been in your situation before, but I might understand how you could feel in this scenario." She turned to look into Hazel's eyes, then down to her talons.
Hazel's scales felt as if they were going to tear themselves from her body, and expose her. Her blood ran cold. She pushed back her emotions, and tried to pretend that she's unsure of what was being spoken to her. "What scenario? I- I'm not scared about anything right now." She carefully let out her breath. "Who are you anyway? I know you're friends with the snow queen, but who are you really?"
