Chapter 41

The Wedding
        Good morning Vala. Good morning sir. How are you feeling; nervous but happy. Good now you will eat and bath, I will be back in an hour or so to bring you upstairs to prepare for your wedding.
My stomach is in knots and in all honesty I am not sure about my happiness at this time, but I know marrying Javen is all I have. I eat the food that was given to me and I let myself get lost in my thoughts in the bath. I still can’t believe that that Ken is alive after all this time; I realize that she is in the same situation as me. My mind wonders to Lil, i wonder what she is doing and if she will ever remember me. I feel that I am just a faded memory in the back of people’s minds, just like all the other girls are.

         The door opens and the big man comes in, he says it’s time to go upstairs. I get up from the tube and put the robe on that was given to me. The big man blind folds me and leads the way. My last thought was I am leaving this room that I have called home and hell for maybe forever. When we get to the final door, the big man takes the blind fold off and opens the door. I follow him and he leads me to another room where there is a table set up with many things on it. He that introduced me to Monica and Liah, they will be getting me ready for the wedding, with that he left me.

        The girls are very nice and welcoming. We talk about my fake life and their lives. They help me chose what looks on me the best. By the time they were done, I didn’t even recognise myself. I looked at me and all i saw was a little girl that never got a childhood, for she had to become an adult. My once upon a time beach blonde hair is now more of a light brown color and my crystal blue eyes are a grey color. I have grown, but i am still tiny. My body is slim and i don’t have any fat on me. My hair is curled and half of it is up and the rest is down. The dress is ivory and is fitted to my body. It has a pink ribbon upon the waist to give the dress more color.

        The door opens and the big man walks in and tells the ladies to go and get dressed. They do as they were told, right away. The big man tells me that Seth will walk me down the aisle and give my hand away. He told me that the flower girl is Isla and my bridesmaid is Jevera. He then went over the rules with me and if I try anything he will send me back to my old room. He went over the house rules and then finally he said that you will call me Desmond when I am around his daughter other than that I address him as sir.

        Seth stands beside me and the music begins to play. The doors open and we begin to walk in. I see Javen standing there and he looks very handsome. He hasn’t taken his eyes off me since the doors open. The preacher began today we are here to join Javen Andrews and Vala Demount in marriage. Who here gives Vala's hand to this man. "I do father."  Now Javen please take this ring and place it on Vala's finger and repeat after me as speech.

        Vala, I am proud to take you as my wife, I vow to forever be there for you, in sickness and health. I will forever walk with you hand in hand and will promise to show you every day we are given together how much I love and honor you. So with this ring i want you to know that you will forever be mine and no one else’s.

        Now Vala put this ring on Javen's finger.
