Stacey's family;
It was September 16, 8 years and 1 day that Stacey went missing. We all want her back safe in our arms, but we will settle knowing that she is okay. We have moved forward with our lives but we have not forgotten Stacey. She was a bubble of joy. I wish she could meet Faith, she always wanted a little sister and she got her wish.
There is a knock at the door. I look out the window and there is a police officer standing at the door. My dad walks towards the door and opens it. I think all of our hearts skip a few beats. We invite the officer in and we all take a seat in the living room. The officer tells us that he is sorry for the words that are about to come out of his mouth. We all know what he is going to say next.
We have found Stacey, sadly a few hours too late. Mom looks at the officer and says she was alive. The officer says yes she was. We raided a house in Darmenth Ville thinking it was a drug operation but sadly it was a house of secret civilization if you would say. Stacey was kept in a basement for most of her life, in unhumane conditions. She was forced to marry and give up her inocents. Stacey's name was Vala, which means chosen. Stacey was just a random victim but becasue of her strength; she was picked to carry on with their families’ tradtion. Her finally few hours were filled with much pain. Her final moments of life were giving birth to her children. The officer tells us that she had twins a boy and a girl. Stacey died of hemorrhaging and being under weight.
All of us were in tears. We can’t believe that she had been alive for all these years. She was and will forever be the strongest person in all of our minds. The officer tells us that she was alone for the most part but there were other with her. Mom finally manages to ask what about the children. The officer says that the little girl Kendall only lived for thirty minutes after being born but her son Ryan is alive and is being cared for. My father says can we see him. The officer tells us that we can have custody of him. Without hesitation our parents say yes.
Our family is finally at peace and Stacey's Legacy will live on forever.
