It wasn't long ago,
We were happy together,
And to be honest,
I missed you so much.
From the day we were born,
The static flowing through my body,
The connection that we had,
Never anything like it.
You're always there for me,
Doesn't matter what the situation was,
I can go to you,
Where I can just speak my heart out,
Never ones I'd not thought about you,
Ever since that tragedy,
You were the only one in my mind,
And I will never forget it.
The tears flowed down my cheeks,
Seeing you just laying on the bed,
Still smiling,
But your soul is no more.
Your last words kept echoing in my ears,
Like the voices from the past,
Looking down at you,
I feel empty in my heart.
Now, alone in the night,
Just walking aimlessly,
My thoughts is still lingering,
On how we were not so long ago.
The moon shines fully in the sky,
The stars sparkle beautifully,
Reminding me of how we used to be,
How we used to live.
Looking up into the heavens,
I know you're looking down at me,
I know you'll never break your promise,
Looking after me from above.
Looking down to the ground,
The night breeze blowing on the soft grass,
The tears flowing down my cheeks,
I missed you, Brother.
