Let's get the story rollin' properly, shall we?
"Explain it to me again, please. Why the hell did you tell Harry to bring his boyfriend? Hell, until half an hour ago I didn't even know he has one." Zayn said shocked as he set the big table in Louis' and Liam's living room.
"Beause he's an idiot, that's why." Niall called from the kitchen.
"Guys, leave him alone. It's his decision and it only shows how mature we can all be with such things." Liam- the voice of reason- said folding the blankets on the couch.
"Exactly!" Louis nodded along. "And if he's a dick I just punch him in the throat." He shrugged.
"And the maturity left the room." Liam sighed and trotted into the kitchen shaking his head.
Today was Ava's fourth birthday and Louis had suggested to Harry- after two weeks of holding him up with excuses not to meet his boyfriend- to just bring him along and Harry happily agreed. Ava was upstairs with Sierra who helped her getting dressed into her new dress they had bought together but no one was allowed to see it yet because Ava wanted to have her moment. She got her penchant for drama from Harry- that was undeniable- so Louis wasn't really surprised when she wanted to have her big appearance on her day.
The boys were currently setting up the living room with mermaid themed decoration- no one expected anything else- where everything was purple and blue and Louis had to buy loads and loads of glitter. Basically everything they saw that was just the tiniest bit glittery they had to buy otherwise Ava threw a tantrum and Louis didn't have the nerves for that. He had ordered a huge birthday cake for her which Zayn and Sierra had picked up on their way over to them.
"Are you ready guys?" Sierra came down the stairs with one hand on her six month bump smiling widely.
The boys stopped what they were doing and turned to her waiting for Ava to come down.
"Of course. Let's see our fishgirl." Louis grinned.
"Silly daddy! Imma mermaid princess!" Ava shouted from upstairs.
"Just get your bum downstairs so we can see your dress." Louis laughed.
Ava squealed and came down the stairs slowly holding onto the staircase not to fall down and Louis' jaw dropped. Ava stopped when she saw the look on her dad's face and bit her finger unsurely, but Sierra held her hand out for her and she took it hesitantly and let her guide her down.
"You not like it, daddy?" She asked fearfully.
"What? O-of course! I love it! You're so beautiful, princess!" Louis pressed out. "Come on, give us a spin." He encouraged.
A big smile grew on Ava's face and she spun around making the blue and purple tulle that reached to her calfs flatter in the movement. She spun once more giggling and holding her arms out.
"Wow! You're the prettiest mermaid princess in the seven oceans, Av!" Zayn gushed.
"In the seven oceans? I guess you meant in the universe, Z." Niall huffed with a wide grin.
"Sorry to say this Sier, but Ava outshines you by far." Liam chuckled.
"That's alright. This is your special day and everyone's eyes are on you just like we predicted, right?" Sierra asked smiling softly at Ava.
"Yes, yes!" Ava chirped.
"Come here, darling. Lemme see you close up." Louis crouched down and held his hand out for her which she took immediately and stepped between his legs. "You truly are beautiful, Ava. My pretty, pretty princess." He whispered and she giggled. "Happy birthday again, my love."
