Sleepover

I have finally managed to get this chapter done. I'm not really happy with how it turned out, but I just can't get anything better out of it, so you have to settle with this now. x

"Alright, darling. We have discussed this, you always listen to uncle Ni without arguing or throwing tantrums especially when it's bedtime. I don't want to hear any complaints from him." Louis said sternly but with soft features as he crouched down in front of Ava in Niall's hallway who was standing in the doorframe to the living room next to Harry while Liam was standing behind Louis.

"How long you away?" Ava mumbled and grabbed Louis' collar fiddling with the fabric between her fingers.

"Only for three days. You won't even notice that I'm away, okay?" Louis smiled softly and brushed his thumb over her cheek.

"Why can't I too?" Ava frowned.

"Av, we talked about this. Li and I have to take care of business, I won't have much time for you. But uncle Ni and papa will have loads of time, they even took the three days off working just to be able to play with you and go to the zoo and the aquarium and maybe even to the fair." Louis explained.

"But you talk to me?" Ava asked hopefully.

"I call you every evening to say good night to you and every morning when you wake up and before you know it I'll be back." Louis smiled and tucked a curl behind her ear.

"Miss you." Ava pouted.

"I'll miss you too, princess." Louis sighed and opened his arms. Ava was quick to hug him tightly and buried her face in his chest. He felt his shirt getting wet and squeezed her even more. "Don't cry, love." He mumbled in her hair and placed a kiss on it.

"No want you go." She mumbled with a thick voice.

"I know, baby. I'll be back soon. I love you so much, my perfect girl." He muttered in her ear.

"Love you too, daddy." She squeezed him even tighter and he let her for a few seconds before leaning back.

He smiled at her and caressed her cheek, wiping the tears away with his thumb before getting up. While Ava said goodbye to Liam, Louis went over to Niall and Harry.

"If anything is wrong please call me immediately. I can be back in seven hours." He said worried.

"Lou, don't stress. It's not the first time I'm watching her and we're literally two grown up people, we will manage. And Sierra and Zayn are here too." Niall said appeasing.

"You stay the entire time, right?" Louis asked directed to Harry.

"If it's still alright." Harry said carefully.

"Sure." Louis shrugged, pushing the uneasy feeling in his guts away. "Okay, fine. I try not to worry too much. I call you when it's bedtime for her and you just call me when she wakes up. I leave my phone loud so I hear it."

"But it's the middle of the night for you when we get up." Niall frowned. "Don't you think it's enough when you call in the morning when you're awake?"

"No. Just call me." Louis said seriously.

"I think Ava isn't the only one having trouble with letting go." Niall smirked.

"Shut up, Niall." Louis grumbled. "Just do what I told you and take care of my baby."

"Will do. It's not like you're away for weeks." Niall chuckled.

"Yeah, whatever." Louis rolled his eyes and waved him off. "Alright, Av. Time for us to leave. You have fun, but not too much without me."
