"Sorry guys, my mum didn't want to stop talking." Louis apologised for being late when he approached the table where the others were already sitting. He had brought Ava over to his mum's for the day and over night so the friends could spend some time together.

He rounded the table to properly greet Liam and Niall who got up, but not without quickly shooting a look at Harry who was already looking at him but averted his eyes quickly with a blush and Louis suppressed a fond smile.

"You look like shit, mate." Liam smirked as he looked Louis up and down.

"Have you taken a look into the mirror today yet?" Louis scoffed as his head snapped over to him and rolled his eyes before embracing him in a bone crushing hug. "Hey, y'alright?"

"Always. You?" Liam smiled and they parted.

"Ah, you know-" Louis shrugged grinning. "Bad people are always fine."

Liam shook his head amused and sat back down when it was Niall's turn.

"Hey, Nialler. I'm glad to see you're alright and are able to cope with this idiot." Louis hugged him and Niall barked out a laugh.

"He's quite alright." He joked.

"Shut up." Liam grumbled as they sat down.

"It's great to see you still getting along so well, after...you know." Sierra said softly and smiled at them.

"Oh, yeah well. We're definitely better off as friends." Liam chuckled.

"Yup. Now I can say things again I couldn't for almost two years." Louis smirked.

"We're not even seeing each other for five minutes and you already want to start with this shit again?" Liam quirked an eyebrow.

"No, I was just saying. Don't always feel attacked immediately." Louis rolled his eyes.

"I'm not! You're just an annoying bitch."

"Why don't you go back to New York, then?"

"Guys, come on." Niall laughed.

Louis took his seat between Liam and Zayn, Harry was sitting opposite of him between Niall and Sierra. They all ordered their meals and then fell into casual conversation catching up on the latest happenings over the last weeks. The only thing that wasn't mentioned at all was Harry's and Louis' relationship although their four best friends were dying to know how they were getting along. Louis had only told Zayn that Harry was over when he was sick but that was about it really and Zayn of course told Sierra who told Niall when they were on the phone who told Liam after.

"So Harry, how was it taking care Louis? How often did you consider to kill him?" Liam grinned and leaned over the table slightly with his elbows propped up.

"Uh..." Harry's eyes grew wide and he looked around the table, but gulped when everyone was looking at him expectantly. "It was...alright, I guess?" He shrugged.

"Alright? Taking care of a sick Louis? And you didn't want to slam his head against a wall?" Zayn quirked an eyebrow.

"Oh shut it, will you?" Louis huffed.

"No, he behaved seeing that he had practically a constant fever of fourty degrees." Harry frowned.

"Ouch, that must've been bad." Niall cringed.

"It was. I swear I was close to dying." Louis said dramatically.

"Yeah, sure. That's why you didn't want to go to the hospital." Harry snorted.

"Yes, Harold. I'm sure they wouldn't have taken that good care of me as you did." Louis said with raised eyebrows.

"But only because I know what to do for you to get better." Harry said satisfied with himself.
