More Than Your Gift (Camilo x Reader)

"After Party" Chpt.2

"Yeah that would help a lot actually" I said beginning to lift one side of the cart "Careful it's a bit heav-WOAH" the entire cart was lifted off the ground in an instant and the strong woman known as Luisa stood in it's place 

"Wait I always thought shape shifting was limited to appearance only?" I asked confused as I watched the seemingly weightless cart made it's way up the stairs "Says who?" Camilo smirked dropping the cart at the top of the stairs and returning to his original form.

"Wait it just seems extraordinary that your gift gave you both strength and appearance for your shape shifting powers" As I made my way up the steps eagerly many questions popped into my head 

"Does it make you feel or talk differently at all ?" I asked interested to learn more about the magic that the Madrigals contain "Ah..uh well I've never known someone so interested in what I can do, tell you what. If you aren't busy after the celebration, meet me outside by the porch?" He asked me with his brow raised

"Uh sure? Why not" I told him "Cool, i'll be sure to answer as many of those questions as possible" he said in a cocky way while beginning to walk the way of Antonio's room

"Huh that was random, he really is something" I thought laughing to myself as I began my cart toward Antonio's room.

AFTER THE PARTY

It was almost midnight by the time everyone had cleared out, I had already taken my cart outside with the help of the real Luisa and made sure that I would walk my brother home safely

I first hesitated meeting up with him well I mean we only JUST MET 

It's not that I don't trust the people in my town, I just thought it was strange that someone decided to talk to me willingly for once. Along with that what if he forgot? 

I decided that my questions about family Madrigal couldn't go unanswered

Ever since I was young I wondered why they were more special than anyone else, not that I was jealous just.....interested.

As I made my way back to the Madrigal house after walking my brother home, the now quiet cobblestone road was filled with only the sound of my footsteps

Soon I began to see the porch of the huge house that held 3 generations. 

"I was starting to think I was ditched by a stranger" Camilo appeared suddenly next to me which cause me to gasp

"That makes two of us then" I said sighing due to the sudden scare "Well we're bother here then, shoot" Camilo said holding out his hand as a queue for me to start talking

"I just wanted to ask a few things first off" I quickly took a seat on the grass by the Madrigal porch 

"How did you guys start receiving your gifts-No, how did your home just turn magical?" I asked interested in the beginning of everything.

Camilo smiled "You know, I would tell you to sit down for this. Though it seems you knew that, You seem smart" Camilo laughed at his own joke and laid down himself facing the sky "First impression of him huh he's kind of an airhead" I thought to myself

"Well my mama always told me that we got the miracle I'd like to say 50 years ago? Anyways- Abuela and my Abuelo had to flee the town where they lived because they were attacked and they wandered for so long to find a new home.."

"Until they were found and my Abuelo was lost, my Abuela carried a candle and at that moment the candle blessed her with a miracle and that's when the magic was born." Camilo's voice seemed saddened.

Even if he never knew his Abuelo it's still sad that his Abuela was alone for so long "So she was alone for such a long time" I looked at the house of Madrigal which truly showed the meaning of "Family"

"And I always thought your family was so perfect.." I pulled my legs close to my chest and rested my chin on my knees "Yeah it may seem that way but it's really the opposite" Camilo sighed not taking his eyes off the starry night sky

"I'm really sorry I didn't mean to assume-" 

"Oh no no It's alright really, we may not be perfect but we somehow always find ways to get along in the end" a faint smile appeared on his face

"I never got your name by the way" Camilo's smile turned into a grin, it seemed like he wanted to change the subject

"Oh i'm (Your name), forgive me for not mentioning it first" shoot I hope it didn't seem like I was just a stranger asking for personal information 

"It's alright, it's just cool to see someone interested in the Madrigals past for once" Camilo said jumping to his feet

"Tell you what, how about you meet me in the plaza in town. Where my Tia Julieta tends to people?" Camilo asked happily

I tilted my head in confusion "Well you wanted to know about us Madrigals don't you?" he giggled

"Oh yeah! Okay sure i'll be there" I said suddenly as if I understood the whole time "Okay, well get home safely (your name)" Camilo said holding out his hand for me to shake it, I shook his hand then waved bye to him.

As I walked home I couldn't seem to clear my mind about the Madrigals, I guess they aren't what everyone precives them to be.
