The end

Jamies POV:

I turned around only to see Y/n on the floor , in a pool of blood.
My breath got stuck in my neck.
I could'nt believe what was happening. I was losing her. I could'nt lose her. She can't die. Not believing all those lies I told her .
"Julius!We have to leave! They are coming!"
"We can't leave whithout the princess and her partizan!"
"We have to run now or they'll catch us! We don't have time for them! Let's go !"
They unlocked the door and ran, leaving it open.
Ellie started calling for help, while Lottie was crying. I felt like crying too , but I couldn't , especially not in front of them.
Miss Bolter and a lot of other people I could'nt recognize, found us . They knew we were hurt and it was no time to waste. They started untying our ropes .
After some random guy untied my hands I untied my legs on my own, as fast as I could.
I immediatly made my way to Y/n.
"Hey. . .Y/n. . .wake up . . .please. . .please Y/n wake up!"
I didnt realize, but I was crying
"Y/n. . .please-Y/n!"
She opened her eyes and started coughing : " It hurts! It won't stop hurting! It hurts , it hurts , it-"
"Shhh I know . You just have to trust me ok? I'll get you out of here"
"Jamie . . .it hurts, please-"
"Shhh it's ok, I'm here . . .I'll always be here"
"I-I . . . think . . .I-I'm going to-to close my eyes. . . a little bit. . ."
" Don't close your eyes ,please. Keep them open for me , yeah?
She nodded
". . ."
"J-Jamie"
"Hm?"
". . .don't cry"
She was too cute
I smiled and kissed her forehead
". . .I don't like seeing you sad"
"I don't like seeing you hurt either but here we are "
She smiled at me in response

Y/ns POV:
I opened my eyes and I realized I wasn't at the manor anymore.
I tried to remember what happened but my head hurt. I looked around and realized I was in a hospital.
To my left Lottie and Ellie were standing on a couch , half-asleep. Lottie had a long cut on her left cheek but Ellie looked fine.
Anstacia and Saskia were standing on some chair in front of my bed. Both of them sleeping. Anastacia looked fine , Saskia on the other hand , had a huge bandage wrapped around her head.
Wait. . .what was Saskia doing here?

I then looked to my left and saw Jamie staring out the window.
Neither of them noticed me so why not scare them a little?

"How long are you guys going to stand around my bed like a bunch of creepers?" I said loud enough for them to wake up from their sleep

Before any of them had time to react , Jamie had me already wrapped in the tihghtest hug I've ever seen.
"Ow!You're-you're crushing my spleen Jamie!"
He pulled away and smiled :
"Oh please! You don't even know where your spleen is "
"Oh. . .she's alive" Saskia said

Why was she doing here anyways?

"Don't sound so disappointed, I might think you don't like me"
"Y/N!" Lottie exclaimed and jumped on the bed
"Owww!"
"I AM SO SORRY ! I forgot you  . . ."
"I what?"
"You don't remember what happened?" Jamie asked me concerned
"The memories are slowly coming back to me, the last thing I remember was entering a room and-Julius was there!"
"I knew there was something strange with him! Do you two know eachother?" Ellie asked me
"Uhm *cough* no obviouslly"
". . ."
"Anyways my stomach really hurts, I do-"
"Oh no no ! Don't pull the covers down" Jamie warned me
"Ok"
"Wait really? Since when do you listen to me?"
"Since . . .never" I said and pulled the covers down
". . ."
"OH SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA! "

"Wha-. . . what happened to me"
"See, that's an interesting story" Ellie said
"You'll hear it later, now you should rest"Jamie said
"But I don't fell like it" I said and groaned
"Goodbye Y/n" Jamie said and dragged the girls away
"Byye Y/n!"
"Byye!"
"Have fun doing nothing!"
"Bye"
"Wait ,what is Saskia doing here ?" I asked
"That's a story for later now go to sleep" Jamie told me and shut the door
I groaned but I realized I was kind of tired

Time skip -two days later-
3rd persons's POV:

[Y/n eventually remembered everything that happened]

Y/n was sleeping peacefully in her bed, it was her last day at the hospital.

"How can you be such an irresponsible person Y/n??!!"

She slowly opened her eyes only to see an angry Jamie standing in front of her .
". . .Do you know what a door is , Jamie?"
". . .yes"
"And what about knocking . . . ever heard of it ?"
"HA ha ha you are so funny" he said on his usual cold tone
". . ."
"How can you -"
"What are you talking about ?"
"What am I talk-you could have died!"
"What-oh. . but I didn't "
"Yeah, well, you were pretty damn close!"
". . ."
"What were you thinking? Approaching Ingrid on your own, with only ONE HAND for God's sake!"
"Why are you arguing with me ?"
"Because I thought I lost you !"
". . ."
"I-. . ." he sighed frustrated and sat next to me
"You know what Jamie? I should be the one who is mad "
". . .wh-"
"Because,Jamie I'm tired of . . . this"
I said and gestured at the air between us
"What do you mean?"
"Just so you know, I'm saying this only because I almost died and-*sigh*. I don't understand you Jamie . . .not at all. Now you are saying you don't care about me and all that shit and in the next second you are crying and begging me to hold on and-and to trust you and-and all that stuff."
". . .I-"
"And the fact that is upsetting me the most is that it hurts Jamie, it hurts so f*ucking much . And I-I usually don't let other peoples words affect me and I don't know why but with you is different. . ."
"I- for God's sake Y/n I can't belive you are making me say this!"
". . ."
"*sigh* Yes, I liked Lottie , but that was before you came into my life. I realized only later that my feelings for her disappered when I met you. In the beggining, I hated you. I tried so hard to figure you out but I couldn't and it drove me crazy. It was the first time we had another partizan around and I percived you as an opponent, maybe that's why I hated you with a burning passion."
". . ."
" I ended up liking you more than I originally planned and I don't now why because you were an enormously pain in the ass-"
"Always such a gentleman"
"I know. . .ugh God who made me do this ?. . . I can't believe I'm about to-*sigh* . . . I never stoped caring about you but when I realized I started to- . . . why is this so hard . . .to . . .to catch feelings for you for God's sake *sigh* I got scared and I convinced myself that I don't care about you and that all that shit I said was true. . ."
"So you though it was better to lie to yourslef into thinking you hate me and eventually decited to make sure everyone knew ?"
He nodded not making eye contact
" . . .but why?"
He sighed:" Because, Y/n, I grew up with people reminding me that nothing and no one is or will ever be more important than my job. . .not even myself"
". . ."
"Nothing was more important but then . . . I met you  . . . and you ended up being more  important to me than you should've been. . .but I couldn' admit it "
"I-. . ."
"I-. . . should go"
". . ."
He got up and walked towards the door but before he had the chance to open it , Y/n spoke:
"Let me see if I got this right ,you've been lying to me-to all of us all.this.time! so I wouldn't suspect you l- "
"-Yes"
"Ok."
". . . ok?"
"You know what Jamie-?"
She got out of bed and walked towards him.
"Y/N you are hurt! You shouldn't walk!"
She ignored his sentance and stared at him for a moment.
"What?" he asked
*slap*
"You are an idiot"
". . .did  you just. . .slap me?!"
"Yes"
"You are stronger than you look"
"That's why you shouldn't underestimate me "
"I-. . ."
"You did all of this because-because-. . .ugh"
". . ."
". . . right now I don't know if I want to kiss you or throw you out the f*cking window"
". . .Can I pick?"
"Are you . . . implying. . . that you want to kiss me? "
". . .maybe" he responded with a smirk , looking her in the eyes this time
"You-"
She didn't have time to finish her sentance, because he cut her off.
By kissing her.Whithout warning, whithout permission. Simply because he could'nt have done anything else.
He soon realized what he had just done and pulled back immediatly.
"IamsosorryI-"
But this time he was cut off by her.

She did the simplest thing in the world. She kissed him back.
And the world cracked open.

A/n:  I am perfectlly aware of the fact that I'm not the best at writing emotional stuff and that this ending is a little bit shitty but maybe I'll rewrite it . . .one day 💀.
I'd never ever, not even in my dreams , thought that I will write a book one day. And here I am .
It's my first book. I'm not a writer. I'm not amazing at writing. But I'm proud of myself for doing this. For not giving up, even when I didn't feel like it.
