Who knew that the first conversation you'd have with the man you missed so much would turn into an argument. You hated it.

But you're sure you hated him even more right now.

You hated yourself even worse for fantasising about him, for thinking about him in such a moment irrelevant to him. You hated the fact that you ruined something good for yourself for him.

Were you being selfish? You thought you were, but maybe it was stupidity - or a mix of both. You were sold a fantasy and for some odd reason you're still clinging onto it. In reality, whether Gojo wanted you or not, it was (and is) nothing more than lust. You are stupid for even thinking things could go further. You're ruining things for yourself and you know it.

As you passed through the lobby, you noticed the event was starting to come to an end as multiple people were making their way out. You made your way through the corridors, keeping your head down in case you saw a familiar black haired male. As soon as you entered the hall of the event you walked around, aiming to find your group of friends.

You were relieved to hear your ginger friend calling your name, as you looked in the direction of the voice you saw her walking towards you. "What happened?" Nanami and Itadori followed behind her, you looked at Nobara, tears threatening to fall down your face as you attempted to speak.

"I-" Before you could say anything more, or let a tear out, Nanami interrupted you. "You feeling okay?" He looked at you with furrowed brows, moving to your side as if you were going to faint. "No, I just feel a bit- I think it's the alcohol." You rubbed your forehead with the back of your hand, in a gesture to convince everyone of your fake sickness. "I'm sorry, Nanami, do you mind taking me home?"

Without hesitation he shook his head and moved closer to you. "Awww," Nobara pouted, sad that you couldn't stay longer, before giving you a farewell hug. "I'll see you later, okay?" You nodded your head and waved at your ginger friend, also waving goodbye to Itadori who looked at you with sympathy.

You walked away with Nanami, whose hand was hovering over your back,  walking beside you as you snaked your way through the crowd. In a comfortable silence, you both were at the lobby in no time. Whilst Nanami talked to the receptionist, who was contacting the valet to bring his car, you stood beside him until your attention was caught by the ring of the elevator.

As soon as you turned your head to the elevator, you saw Satoru coming out and walking through the lobby, his eyes on you as yours were on his. He had a sombre look in his eyes, and as soon as he saw you he walked towards you, mouth opening as if he was going to say something.

"Your car is here." The receptionist smiled at the both of you and gave her farewells before the both of you walked off. The moment Satoru saw your hands wrapped around Nanami's arm, he stopped before walking back to the direction of the hall. Although you both briefly acknowledged each other, passing by him as if you weren't arguing minutes ago, you could still feel his eyes on you. You wish he said something.

You and Nanami were both in the car now and already on your way home. The city lights filled the darkness within the car and the noise from passing streets filled the silence between you two. You took your phone out of your purse, to see it was already midnight.

Time flies when you're having fun, right?

"Did something happen?" Nanami asked, breaking the silence between the both of you. "No...Just felt sick.." You replied.

"Are you sure?" Nanami asked, eyes still on the road as he asked you this. You simply turned your head to him with a sweet smile on your face. "Yeah. Coming straight from work and all, I'm just super tired too."
