You don't know what it was, but your thoughts were most definitely turning into reality. Throughout the week, you've noticed a change in Nanami.

He talked to you more. Yes, he was talking to you more before but now it seemed like he wanted to be with you more. At work, whenever your breaks aligned he'd ask you if you'd want to go out to get lunch or talk to you about random things, sometimes even asking you when you're going for your break. Surely an assertion like this would be deemed delusional, but not when he rarely talks to anyone else at work. Aside from Nobara and maybe a few other co-workers, Nanami would never ask anyone out for lunch .

It was other things too. The way the both of you stare at one another for too long and end up catching each other in the act left you feeling like this. The way that he would go out of his way to help you with work, when he could care less if it was anyone else, also left you feeling like this. Not only that, but other people noticed it too. Mai started calling Nanami your work husband and Nobara started mocking you by calling you Miss Nanami. From this, you felt like it couldn't just be you that felt this way. The subtle gestures of the blond beau left you feeling confused and delusional, what if he was just looking out for you?

"Good morning, [Name]." He said to you as you both passed one another, he just walked out of a meeting whilst you were making your way to give a large heap of paperwork to one of your supervisors. "Let me help you." Without much objection, you allowed him to take off half of the paperwork, the weight lifting off of your arms as he shared it with you.
As you both walked together, he asked you how your day was going so far, seeing as it was only midday, neither of you had much of a day going but work. "I like the new hairdo by the way." You smiled at the blond's compliment, you had on butterfly locs which you decided to do on yourself because you didn't have the energy to schedule an appointment nor pay anyone an expensive price for them to do it for you. You weren't a fan of the hairstyle at first, but it grew on you over the week and Nanami's compliment made you like it even more. At his compliment, you gave him a smile, "Thank you, I did it myself."

"How long did it take to do?" He asked, walking beside you now as the both of you made your way back to the main office. "It wasn't that long actually, once I got the hang of it, it took, like, 5 hours." You said calmly, to which Nanami raised his eyebrows. "5 hours is a long time." He said.

"I mean, true, but for doing my hair it's not that long."

"How long would doing your hair usually take?"

"Depending on the hairstyle, it can take as long as 10 hours." Nanami gave an audible gasp which made you giggle.

Once you reached your supervisor's office you both put the set of paperwork down before making your way out. You gave a smile to Nanami, you expected him to walk away but instead he stopped and looked at you as if he were to say something. You raised your brow at him at his sudden silence, almost as if something had caught onto his tongue. "Something the matter, Kento?" You asked, prompting him to continue on with what he wanted to say. "Are you busy this weekend?" He asked, looking suave and relaxed, but you could almost see how he was a bit nervous with the way he had his arms folded and in the way he hesitated on what he was saying. "Probably not, why do you ask?" You reply.

"How about tonight? Are you busy tonight?" He repeated himself, but before you could continue you were interrupted by the vibration of your phone coming from the inside of your blazer pocket. You tried to ignore it, continuing your conversation with the blond. "No, why's that?"
As you asked this you brought your phone out, just to check who was calling you. "I was wondering if-"
