I knew you didn't hate me (Klance smut/fluff)

It's Time to Move on for Now

Some of ya'll are not going to like this ship but don't worry as you all know in the show not everyone makes it so eventually Klance will make its way back into this book. For now enjoy the love and Romance of the up and down Lance is going to have in the next couple chapters.

Now that Allura was a Paladin she got to train with Lance which was great, she had a lot to learn. However, Red and Blue started to be very playful again, everyone assumed it was still residue energy from when Lance and Keith were the Pilots but little did thy know it was due to Allura's energy in blue now. The lions definitely had a different chemistry than before. Blue is a lot more calm and cautious, Red is still the most agile of the lions but not hotheaded anymore.

Allura and Lance were doing combat training. Lance was excited to be the one teaching the princess because she was trusting him to protect her. However Allura was moving quite sluggish today. Lance noticed but brushed it off as she needed to warm up. Allura was feeling light headed and weak but didn't want to tell Lance, she wanted to finish the training. Before she new it, she was seeing white as she felt her body falling. She could sort of hear Lance's voice in the distance, she tried to catch herself but her body wasn't listening. The last thing she saw was Lance's face worried and his arms catching her . When she woke up she was in bed and Lance was at her bed side.

"oh my goodness , I'm so happy your awake, I was so worried Princess." Lance's face showed immediate relief. This made Allura smile, Lance was so cute when he was worried.
"What happened , I remember training then nothing"
"Coran said you were overworked , he said I'm in charge of making sure you get sufficient rest before you can train again. "
"Oh Lance that's ok, you don't have to do that, I'm fine really." Allura pulled her covers off and made an attempt to get up only to weakly fall back on the bed.
"oh no you don't" Lance quickly reacted and caught the princess once again. "You are not going anywhere until you get your strength back, you mean so much to us and you work so hard, you are working yourself to death Princess." Lance was holding Allura telling her all this. Allura looked up at Lance and instantly felt weaker, she was blushing and melting. His arms around her weren't enough anymore, she new she wanted more but she could never ask that from Lance. She felt sadness take over her and tears run down her face, the reality of longing for Lance and never being able to say anything was too much. Allura pushed Lance away and turned around in her bed. "I'm fine Lance, I don't need you to take care of me, but thank you."

"Princess I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you"
"Its alright Lance you haven't done anything wrong, I'm just tired and its getting to me" Allura tried to hide her face from Lance.
"Still I'm sorry, I will let you rest, I will be back with some food and electrolytes for you in a couple hours, please rest" Lance just wanted to care for Allura she deserved a break.
"Thank you Lance" Allura managed to choke out her response.

Lance left the room thinking to himself that Allura must of really been over worked for her to cry so sudden. He really wanted her to get better because well he was pretty sure he was in love with her. It broke his heart to see her down, he wanted to be the one to nurse her back to health, he wanted to be her rock, he wanted her to know she could depend on him. He went to ask Hunk if he could make some nutritious soup and a desert for Allura. Hunk was delighted and told him it would be ready in an hour or two. In the mean time Lance went to get some electrolyte juice packs from the space mall. He wasn't sure what flavor to get, he had instinctively reached for the red and blue flavors and froze when he realized those were the ones Keith and him would drink after hard training. Lance got a little upset at himself for letting that affect him, it shouldn't anymore, he dismissed it as he was just used to getting those flavors and they shouldn't mean anything. He eventually opted for getting blue blue dazzle berry and pink lemonade, she has to like one of those right. When he got back the food was almost ready so he decided to take a quick shower he didn't want to go see the princess all smelly, she was royalty he had to be clean. After the shower he got into his pjs and Voltron slippers, it was getting late and he was going to go to bed after he made sure the Princess had gotten some rest and had had a big bowl of nutrients. He swung by the kitchen to get a bowl of soup for Allura ,and grabbed 2 electrolyte drinks, one of each flavor he figured he would drink the one she didn't like. He loaded up his tray and headed to Allura's room.

"Knock Knock, food service has arrived"
"Come in" Allura sounded better, so Lance was happy. He walked in with a big smile carrying a tray of food. Allura took one look at him in his Voltron slippers and started giggling. He somehow looked cute and funny at the same time.
"What are you giggling at Princess" Lance said rising an eyebrow at her.
"Oh nothing, I haven't ate in so long I'm going crazy" Allura giggled and blushed.
"Wait no more! I am here with delicious and nutritious food. Lance got closer and could smell Allura's hair, she had showered too, it was a nice scent it was making Lance completely forget he was holding a try of food and needed to be careful. Allura sat up as Lance sat next to her. She motioned for him to put the try over her legs so it was like a table to her. After he did that he took he lid off revealing a glorious scent of warm soup. Allura's stomach grumbled.

"Sounds like I got here just in time" Lance smiled. "Oh look I got 2 different electrolyte flavors, I will drink the one you don't want."
"We had ran out of these , did you really go all the way to the space mall to get them ?" Lance just nodded "You shouldn't have, wait is that pink lemonade!! I haven't had this flavor in ages how did you even find it." Allura was excited , it was her fav and they never ever had it in stock.
"Just got lucky I guess" Lance shrugged his shoulders, looks like he'll be drinking blue dazzle berry.
"Thank you Lance really" Allura smiled at Lance and dug into the soup. When she saw what was on the tray for dessert she Immediately handed it to Lance. "Here you go , one for you"
"Oh no Princess it's for you, I had Hunk make it just for you" He smiled and tried to give it back to Allura.
"Isn't this your favorite?" Allura rubbed her chin trying to remember. " Churro flavored cheesecake, I remember you said your um . . . was it aboll . . no abele um Abuelita ??? Used to make it for you?"
"Well kind of, Hunk has gotten really good at faking these recipes, it smells just like it, sort of looks like it except for the green berry topping" Lance looked at it , it did look pretty good. "But no its for you, you should enjoy the great flavor of the immaculate churro taste for the first time." Lance smiled, he really wanted Allura to taste part of his culture and really wanted her to like it.

It did look really good "mmmm how about we share" Allura suggested.
"Are you sure, you don't have to if you don't want to" Lance looked at Allura
"I want to" Allura smiled and handed Lance a spoon. They each took a spoonful. Allura's eyes lit up "oh my , this is wonderous, Lance!" Allura could not stop fonding at how good this pastry was. "I can't believe you've been missing this your whole life, it's literally the best thing ever, it's the perfect amount of sweet, soft, and delicious." Lance was enjoying it, he still remembered the last time he had it. His abuela had made it for him to celebrate him getting into the garrison. It was the last thing he ate before leaving for training. Before they new it they had finished it.
"Thank you Lance" Allura took the tray and put it in the night stand next to her on the other side of the bed.
"No problem" Lance started getting up and was going to head out but before Allura could think clearly she grabbed his hand "Stay" her voice was so soft and timid. Lance back tracked, he had never heard this tone in Allura's voice.

He turned back around to face her but her head was down, he couldn't see her face. Lance sat back down and cupped Allura's face in his hands "Princess . . " Allura looked up at lance, she was embarrassed, she felt her eyes start to water. "Lance . . I'm sorry . . I know I have no business asking this of you . . . " Allura was choking on her words she did not know what had come over her. She wished she just didn't say anything. Lance cut her off "I would love to stay with you" Lance gave Allura a reassuring smile and laid back on the bed. Allura softly sobbed , she couldn't contain herself she wanted to hold herself together but all her stress and emotions were rushing through The stress of Voltron, being the last of the Alteans, her father being gone , trying to keep the team together all at once, the stress from the war and now her feelings for Lance, it was all too much.
"I'm sorry Lance, I'm so stressed . . I didn't mean to." Allura felt so embarrassed.
"It's ok Princess, I'm here for you" Lance reassured her.
"You've been so nice to me I don't want to be a burden to you."

Lance took Allura's face in his hands again, he looked at her with such loving and caring eyes and said "Allura look at me, you will never be a burden to me, anything and everything you ask of me I'll do because I want to. Because I care about you, I always have and I always will." Lance gave Allura a kiss on the forehead and pulled her onto his chest. Allura buried her face in Lance's chest, she felt safe, his sent was addictive, his warmth engulfing, his touch making her melt. All she could manage to sluggishly say was "Thank you Lance" as all her worries melted away and she fell asleep. Lance was happy that the princess could depend on him, it made him feel warm and fuzzy inside, he couldn't describe the feeling, just that he was happy to be right next to Allura.
