The End of One Nightmare, But The Beginning of Another

We spent all the way till sunset to the tree. We stood there watching guard as Beetee wrapped the coil of wire around the tree. "You three girls go down to the beach. Put the coil into the water and head straight to the tree at 6 o'clock. We'll meet you there." Beetee told us. "I need to go with them." Peeta said in a scared voice. "Peeta you can't. Beetee needs you and Finnick to protect him while he finishes up here. Don't worry you'll get wrinkles. Besides, Johanna and I will be there with her." I spoke in a calming yet reassuring tone.

He nodded his head hesitantly.
We spent around half an hour walking down to the beach when suddenly the coil was cut. "Enobaria and Brutus." I whispered to Johanna. She grabbed Katniss while I knocked her out with the handle of Johanna's ax.

I grabbed my knife and started to cut out Katniss' tracker. She started to scream waking up. "Shhhh. It'll only hurt for a second. It's okay." I whispered to her. "Go Jo. I'll stay with Katniss." She nodded her head and left.

After a while I heard Finnick calling for us. Katniss woke up and pulled me with her back against the rocks. After he left Katniss pulled me up and we went back to the tree.
"Katniss! Payton!" Finnick called from behind the bush. Katniss pointed an arrow at him. "Katniss. Remember who the real enemy is." He spoke in a calm voice.

Katniss wrapped the coil around her arrow and pointed it up to the sky. She drew back the arrow and released it. "Katniss no!" Finnick and I shouted in unison.

The last thing I saw was myself being thrown back from the force and Finnick coming over to me. I saw everything going on around me. The arena roof falling and a hovercraft entering, and Finnick laying right next to me. Then it went black.

I woke up to the sound of a heart machine. I looked to my right to see Finnick asleep in the chair next to me. "Finn?" I asked in a raspy voice. "Hey, love." "Are we in District 4?" He looked down sadly. "We aren't in District 4 anymore. We're in District 13." "Where is Annie and my Grandmother?" I asked in a scared voice. "Mags is here. Plutarch made sure to get here after we got into the arena. Annie however is in the Capitol."

I remember being so infuriated with Snow. He put my Grandmother into the games, he put my father figure into the games, he put my Best Friends into the games, he put me into the games. He killed my family in more ways than just one. Snow better watch out. He isn't getting away with this. No matter what.
