Thank you for whoever gave me this prompt on Discord, I do not know how to refer you as (not following the whole thing, just bits): Prompt: Remember the episode where Nightmare, Dark and the darkness kept hostage of the Orange Steves? And Sabre decides to approach Nightmare once he saw and heard them. Then add where Sabre then tries and makes a deal with Nightmare. The cost of giving himself in to replace the Orange Steves. Nightmare and the others grinned and accepted the deal, then Orange whispers to Sabre to run and he'll handle it but it was too late. Nightmare then teleport the darkness, Dark and Sabre to the kingdom.

It was a peaceful morning in the Rainbow Hub, Orange was talking to Gerald while Sabre laid on his bed getting some more sleep. Last night was another restless night for the human as thoughts about the darkness and the world have been keeping him up for days on end. All he could be thankful of is Orange understanding what was wrong with him, apparently Citrine had similar problems being a leader and such. Gerald understood too and would often watch over Sabre when he randomly falls asleep outside, which was a bit too often.

As for Orange, he recovered from his 'fight' with Dark fairly quick and was resting mentally by doing his own thing for a bit. He was worried about his human friend as he's been offered to join the Darkness personally by the Nightmare King who was not one to take 'no' as an answer. Orange knows Sabre is the Steves only hope, but he was also the Nightmare King's only hope from fully being consumed by the Darkness. Sabre already made it clear that he wouldn't betray the Steves and would do anything for them, but Orange was scared how far the human would go to protect them.

"Orange? You good fam?"

The said Steve looked behind him to see Sabre with a frown.

"I'm fine, how did you sleep?"

The brunet shook his head and signed, "Too much going through my head to think, but I manage to get a few hours worth, on and off though"

The Steve nodded then turned back to Gerald to feed him a golden carrot while listening to the brunet talk about how Gerald was going to take over their world and such.

A few hours had passed before the peacefulness was disturbed by lighting followed by the portal leading to the Orange Village opening up. Per usual, the human was ready to jump but he had to convince Orange to come as he wasn't really on the idea of going back to the village. Sabre figured something had happened between Orange and Citrine as the air was thick when they were in the same room together. Anyways, back to the story.

After going through the portal and passed the small hill, Orange quickly saw why the portal opened to his hometown and warned Sabre about it as soon as he could. Nightmare, Dark, and a minion stood in front of the Orange Leader's home with Citrine, Shy and what seems to be two more.

The two hid behind the houses, stopping until they were in earshot.

"Are you sure they will come?" Dark asked, looking at Nightmare, "A lot of of them got away and these few might not be enough to draw them out"

"I'm positive they will be here" Nightmare said with confidence in his voice as he eyed the Orange Steves.

"Please, let us go!" Citrine begged, "At least let them go, you can have me instead!"
