"Shit." I internally panicked, making my way down the staircase as I pulled my white tee over my head.

The doorbell rang out again as I did, quickly making my way over to the door before I opened it, seeing my
mama's small figure.

"What's up, mama?" I spoke to her, stepping out of the way so she could come in.

"Hi, baby."

"How are you?" She asked as I closed the door behind us, pulling her in for a hug.

"I'm aight, mama. You know." I tried shrugging off, lying to her completely. Considering I had my girlfriend upstairs confused about everything, all while I'd cut sex with her short once again with no real explanation.  

Just a bunch of rambling.

This shit has to end. I thought to myself.

I was tired of holding out on her and I was tired of lying to her face. I needed to tell Kai what was up. I just needed to get it off my chest.

This shit was becoming too much on a nigga.

"Well, that's good, baby."

"I brought you guys over something to eat, though dinner is tomorrow, I just wanted to bring something anyway." My mama went on saying and I smiled small to myself, thanking her as I broke away from my crazy thoughts.

"Thank you, mama."

"I really do appreciate it." I expressed to her as she sat down on the couch, looking up into my eyes now.

"So, where is Kai?" She went on asking, saying her name with confidence and I chuckled to myself, looking down.

"She should be on her way down in a minute, mama."

"Hold on, let me see." I put my finger up, making my way over to the bottom of the staircase.

"Baybeh!" I called from her, leaning up against the banister.

"Yes, Carter? I'm getting dressed!" She yelled back to me and my mama smiled wide, looking over at me while I smirked to myself.

"Aight, hurry up."

"I have a surprise for you." I told her as I stood there, hearing her going back and forth on the hardwood floors upstairs.

"I'm trying."

"I just don't know what to wear, everything feels like too much and then everything else feels like too less." She went on saying as her muffled voice became clear once she came down the steps, damn near naked with just a towel on, looking from me to my mama.

She gasped loudly once she saw my mama before she looked at me with wide eyes. My mama couldn't help but to laugh as I looked up at her.

"Well, mama.." I trailed off, watching as Kai stood there in complete shock while I chuckled lightly.

"This is my girlfriend, Kai."

"And Baybeh, this is my mama." I quickly introduced as Kai waved shyly before speeding back up the steps to put on some clothes.

"I apologize, mama." I apologized for her as she continued on laughing.

"It's actually my fault because I didn't tell her you were coming." I went on expressing and she waved it off completely.

"Tel her, it's nothing I haven't seen before, baby."

"I'm a woman too, don't worry." She went on saying, shaking her head in amusement.
