Sorry for the late release and the short chapter, I had writer's block and I didn't know what the heck to do.
The train station was bustling. Not overcrowded, but it was just enough for Mario and his crew to get through to the ticket booth. Captain Toad was intrigued by the station, as this would've been the first time he would've visited one. He always took his little ship thingy. But it was nice to have a change of tone. But this really wasn't about them.
This was about saving the kingdom. The tickets were purchased, the train arrived, and they were able to board. Despite the fact they had to sit away from each other and therefore couldn't really discuss any future plans. Not only that, but the ride would've been pretty long. possibly could've taken a day. Their first stop was to the Valentine Kingdom, where the first Soulstone was located. The soul stone of Hollyberry, a pink jewel shaped like a heart. But they had to get there first if they wanted to find that stone.
Separated by different booths, the team were each given their own to stay in by request of the Princess to make sure their trip wasn't just sitting in an uncomfortable pair of seats for a whole day. However, each 1st class booth was allowed a maximum of 4 guests per each. Mario and Peach bunked together in the same room as Luigi and Yoshi, while the others stayed in who knows which bunks. As the sun went down outside the train car, Peach looked out the window and gave a sigh. Mario, sitting on the bed across from her's, looked down with a hum,
(Mario) "What's wrong, princess?"
(Peach) "It's just...I'm still stuck on the whole baby idea..."
(Mario) "Well..."
Mario climbed down from his bunk, sitting across from the princess with a look of understanding.
(Mario) "I...really don't think it's the right time to have a child, Peach, given all the things that are happening right now. The kingdom, Bowser, and even our adventure right now. I just don't think I'm ready yet."
(Peach) "Oh...Mario...If you weren't ready to have a kid, you should've said something..."
(Mario) "Well, I thought you'd get upset if I said no. I understand where you're coming from with the whole prince idea, but...I really don't think the timing is right."
(Peach) "Mario, it's okay if you're not ready to be a father...And...I'm glad to hold it off for a while until you're ready. I don't want to force you into this."
(Mario) "Thanks, Princess."
Mario smiled. And so did the princess. And as their talk progressed through the trip, so did the night.
...
(???) "They're heading your way."
(???) "Yes, I can see that. I've already got myself prepared."
(???) "Good. Don't disappoint me, Crepe."
