"I'm glad to introduce you, our new Master Editor, Miss Dani Jung! Congratulations for your new position Miss Jung!" Lots of cheers can be heard around the conference and honestly it made my heart do somersaults.

I didn't expect it to be this early. I myself was clueless that today will be my promotion as the new Master Editor of this publishing company.  I've been loyal to my job since day 1, and finally, being promoted makes me proud of what I've already accomplished as an employee of this company.

Writing has been my escape to reality and I'm beyond grateful that my passion is what makes me living until now.

"Dani! Oh my, you deserve it bub! Congratulations!" Fate said as she engulfed me into a warm hug. She pats my back as I mouthed my thanks to her.

Jeongin and Felix then came to us, also giving me their greets for being the new Master Editor. Various greetings from the other employees can be heard when they came to me, as I smile at them genuinely.

"Hmm. Can't believe that my our dear friend is now our master editor. It's gonna be a roller coaster ride for us writers. Dani is very strict when it comes to editing." Felix said earning a chuckle from us. My friends, Jeongin and Felix were ones of the senior writers in our department. While Fate, Jeongin's girlfriend is my co-master editor who got promoted two months ago.

"Yah you should be careful, because two of us are now Senior Editors." Fate chimed in, shaking her head at the two boys.

"Hey! My works were almost okay. You won't be stressed out once you read my works." Jeongin said proudly. Well, he isn't wrong. Jeongin is one of the excellent writers in our company, and I'm glad that he's in our department.

"Enough with the bickerings you guys. We should celebrate Dani's promotion, it's Friday today and the new bar near our company is now open. What do you guys think?" Felix suggested and all three of us immediately agree.

It's been a while since we went to a bar to unwind. The hectic schedule is really killing us if you ask me. A lot of works are needed to be released within the second quarter of the year so we never really had the best time to have a little fun.

"It feels hella good. Damn when is the last time we went to a bar?" Fate asked, sipping her mojito.

"I think it's a good two months already. Hell, good thing I love my job." Felix answered. I chugged all the remaining contents of my mojito as I checked my phone to see the time.

"It's indeed a good thing we love our job. You know, after the end of this quarter, we can know breathe. This quarter is jampacked the heck." I said, chuckling.

Our company is one of the most famous publishers in the whole country. Some of the best selling books that you see in every bookstores were published by us. So it's really understandable that employees were are loaded with tasks. And we weren't complaining at all, since they pay us fairly.

"We can now breathe, Fate and I can now date again." Jeongin chided and wrap his arms around Fate's shoulders, making her cheeks flushed a bit.

"Wow, I'll pretend you two were not constantly flirting at the office." I said and rolled my eyes playfully at them.

"Oh you're right tho, until Mr. Bang come inside the office to check us." Felix said. These lovebirds were inseperable. It's not that we're complaining, I mean they flirt as if the weren't living under the same roof. I don't think having different work stations hinders them to flirt. They were almost caught making out in the pantry by Mr. Bang, good thing the two were alert as hell. Oh my.

"I think these two should find their significant others. Especially this girl right here." Fate said and pointed her finger at me. I frowned at her and shook my head. It's not that I am against with dating someone, in fact I am ready, after everything I went through, but it's all in the past. But with my current working status, I think now isn't the best time to date yet.

"Well, I just got the girl of my dreams." Felix confessed making us look at him in disbelief. Felix? Have a girlfriend?

"Shit, did Felix just said that he already have a girlfriend?" Jeongin said, still with a shock expression.

"Idiot. Not really a girlfriend. But she agree to go on a date with me after waiting for almost a year." Felix replied.

"Is she the girl that you met at the concert?" I asked which he nodded in response.

"Well, congratulations to you mister. You're finally out of your salty bachelor phase" Fate said and turn to me. I cocked my brows at her, while she gave an annoying smirk.

"Well, as for you miss, I remember you told me that you've finally moved on. So, what's stopping you from dating?" She asked me. I sighed and looked at her. In my years being a busy employed woman, dating is nowhere to be found. But sometimes I think that maybe having a companion won't hurt. Not all men were like him. But what can I do? I am too immersed with my job.

"Well, I just don't have the time. That's it." I answered. They looked at me suspiciously as if I am not telling the truth. Do I look like I'm lying? And besides, no one dared to ask me for a date. I am not that ideal employed woman they all looking for. I am just an average woman who works diligently and living alone in the city, while helping her parents who raised her well.

"Girl, I know you have the time. You cannot be single for all of your life." Fate said and grinned at me, wiggling her eyebrows.

Hmm, she isn't wrong. But I suck at flirting! I may had a relationship before. But being single for five damn years made my knowledge about flirting go downhill. Can you blame me?
