I sat on the plush couch in Kai's office, fidgeting with the hem of my shirt. The opulent space was filled with the scent of leather and polished wood, but the tension in the air made it feel claustrophobic. Next to me, Rosetta was equally restless, her foot tapping against the floor as she scrolled through her phone.

"What do you think this is about?" she asked, glancing at me with a mix of curiosity and concern.

I shrugged, trying to play it cool, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something significant was about to happen. "I don't know. Kai didn't say much when he called us in."

The door opened, and Kai walked in, his presence commanding and fierce. He looked more serious than usual, his expression tight. "Thanks for coming, ladies."

"Of course, Kai," Rosetta replied, her voice steady, but I could sense the apprehension beneath it.

"Sit." He gestured toward the chairs opposite his desk. We complied, both of us glancing at each other as we settled into our seats. Kai leaned back against his desk, arms crossed over his chest, a frown deepening on his brow.

"I wanted to talk to you both about something important," he began, his tone serious. "You know that the Bratva is changing. There's been a lot of unrest, and we need to be prepared for anything."I

felt a knot tighten in my stomach, a sense of dread creeping in. "What do you mean, prepared for anything?" I asked, keeping my voice steady.

"I mean that with everything happening in the city, I want both of you to step up. You're both vital to the organization. Nina, as the Queen, and Rosetta, as your right hand. We need to train you."

Rosetta's eyebrows shot up. "Train us? Like... physically?"

"Exactly," Kai said, his gaze shifting between us. "I'm going to be working with you and Carter to ensure you both know how to defend yourselves and lead effectively in crisis situations. We can't afford any weaknesses."

I swallowed hard, the implications of his words settling in. "Kai, I appreciate that, but I thought—"

"I know what you thought, Nina," he interrupted, his tone firm but not unkind. "But this is about more than just your safety. It's about the Bratva's future. You're going to have to work together if you want to succeed."

Rosetta leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "How exactly do you see us training?"

"We'll start with self-defense techniques and tactical training. You need to know how to handle yourself in any situation. You can't rely solely on the men in the organization. You're both leaders, and you need to act like it."

I glanced at Rosetta, and I could see the spark of determination in her eyes. "I'm in," she said without hesitation.

I hesitated for a moment, feeling the weight of the responsibility settling on my shoulders. "What if we fail?"

Kai stepped closer, his expression softening just a bit. "You won't fail. I'll be there every step of the way. This isn't just about fighting; it's about finding your strength, both individually and together."

I nodded slowly, the fear easing slightly. "Okay, I'll do it. We'll do it."

Rosetta's excitement was palpable. "I've always wanted to learn some actual combat techniques. This could be fun!"

Kai raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "Fun? You think this is going to be fun?"

"Sure! Why not?" she laughed. "I mean, we're getting to train with you and Carter. Plus, it'll give us a chance to bond—girl power and all that!"

I couldn't help but chuckle at Rosetta's enthusiasm. "Right, girl power and all that," I echoed, a grin breaking through my earlier apprehension.

Kai crossed his arms again, trying to keep a serious expression, but I could see the corners of his mouth twitching. "Just remember, this isn't a game. There are real stakes involved."

"I know," I said, my voice steady. "But it's also an opportunity for us to grow stronger, to take our place in this world."

"Exactly." He nodded, clearly pleased with our responses. "We'll set up a schedule for the training sessions starting next week. Carter will help with the physical training, and I'll focus on the tactical side of things."

"Sounds like a plan," Rosetta said, her excitement infectious.I took a deep breath, trying to ground myself. "I'm ready for this, Kai. I want to learn."

"Good." He stepped back, his demeanor shifting to one of authority. "I expect you both to give it your all. No holding back."

"Wouldn't dream of it," I replied, a newfound determination igniting within me.

Rosetta winked at me, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Get ready, Kai. We're going to kick some serious ass."

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Just remember, I'm still your boss in all of this."

"Of course," I said, a smirk creeping onto my face. "But just think of how much fun it'll be to have the Queen and her right hand training under your watchful eye."

His expression turned serious again. "It's not going to be easy. You'll have to push yourselves.""I'm counting on it," I replied, my heart racing with excitement.

As we wrapped up the meeting, I felt a rush of adrenaline coursing through me. This was it—the next step in reclaiming my place in the Bratva, alongside Rosetta. Together, we would become a force to be reckoned with, and I couldn't wait to get started.

Kai's gaze lingered on me as we stood to leave, a mix of pride and concern etched across his face. "You're both going to do great," he said softly.

"Thanks, Kai," I replied, a warmth spreading through me at his words. "We won't let you down."

Rosetta nudged me as we walked out, a playful grin on her face. "Ready for some girl power training?"

"Absolutely," I laughed, feeling lighter than I had in days. For the first time in a while, I felt a sense of purpose igniting within me. And with Rosetta by my side, I knew we were going to take on whatever came our way—together.
