Nina's POV
The sun poured through the sheer curtains, casting soft rays across the room, illuminating the remnants of the night before. My body felt heavy yet invigorated, still tinged with the echoes of pleasure that lingered in my skin. I lay beneath the covers, the warmth of Kai's body beside me creating a cocoon of safety.
Everywhere I turned, I could still feel him—the heat of his touch, the depth of his gaze, the way he'd whispered my name like a prayer. I glanced over at him, still sleeping soundly, his features relaxed and peaceful. There was something undeniably beautiful about him in this moment, stripped of the weight of the world.
Memories of the night flooded back, and my heart raced at the intensity of it all. I felt alive—more alive than I had in years. The walls I had built began to feel less like a fortress and more like a cage. In Kai's arms, I was free, free to explore the depths of my desires, free to be vulnerable without fear.
But as the light filtered through the room, I felt a twinge of anxiety gnawing at me. Had I let him in too far? Would I be able to hold onto this feeling? Could I truly allow myself to be happy after everything?
I shifted slightly, careful not to wake him, and caught a glimpse of the clock on the nightstand. It was already late morning, and I felt a surge of urgency to keep this moment intact before reality intruded.
Suddenly, Kai stirred beside me, a low groan escaping his lips. He blinked awake, his gaze settling on me, a smile spreading across his face. "Morning," he said, his voice still husky with sleep.
"Morning," I replied, a shy smile creeping onto my lips.He propped himself up on one elbow, his eyes sweeping over me as if he were memorizing every detail. "You're stunning," he murmured, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. "Like some kind of goddess in the morning light."
Heat surged in my cheeks at his compliment, and I felt a flutter in my stomach. "I don't know about that," I replied, a playful lilt in my voice.
"No, seriously," he said, his tone earnest. "Last night... it was incredible. You were incredible."
His words sent warmth spiraling through me. I could feel my heart racing, not from fear but from something entirely different—a sense of belonging.
"I can't believe we... you know," I said, suddenly shy, pulling the covers a bit tighter around myself.
He chuckled softly, and the sound vibrated through me. "You can't believe i took ur virginity?"
My heart skipped a beat at the words, the intimacy of them making me feel exposed. "I guess I just didn't expect it to feel... like that."
"What do you mean?" he asked, genuinely curious. I took a breath, my gaze dropping to the sheets. "I mean, I thought it would be... scary. After everything. But with you, it felt safe. Like I could finally let go."
His expression softened, and he moved closer, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "You don't have to be scared with me, Nina. I promise. I want you to feel safe—now and always."
The sincerity in his voice made my heart swell. I looked up at him, my breath catching as our eyes locked. "You make me feel safe," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
He leaned closer, brushing his lips against my forehead, a tender gesture that made something flutter in my chest. "I want you to know I'm here for you, no matter what. We'll face whatever comes next together."
