chapter 5

Elena P.O.V

Megs called up. Again. I wonder where she gets that much stamina from. That would be her 56th call to confirm I'm coming to her home tonight .For that stupid blind date and dinner.

I know she loves me and she is trying to help me out but all i really want to do.. or actually have wanted to do for the past five years is just lay down in my bed, cry my eyes out and never face the outside world again.

But i guess that won't happen. So I got up from my desk where I had been sitting studying a case for the past 3 hours and flexed my tensed muscles. I guess a hot shower should help.

I went into my walk in closet in my room and chose a blue knee length dress for tonight.
I stripped out of clothes as I went from my closet to my bathroom and turned on the shower.
I let out a relaxing sigh as I washed of the tiredness . Maybe it wont be that bad if I do go on this blind date . I mean all I have to do is be polite to the guy and explain it to him that I'm not interested in seeing him any further .

"And the pigs might fly " my conscience nagged. I rolled my eyes and shut the shower .

I picked up a towel, dried myself and fit into that blue dress. I had the apartment to myself since I moved out of my parents houses . They have gone on a world tour for another honeymoon.

I did my hair and applied a gloss and eyeliner, not bothering woth a lot of makeup. No dark circles so it was all good .

I put on my stilettos and grabbed my car keys on the way out and locked the main door behind me.

Getting into the car I'm about to get going when my phone rings.
Sighing i reach for it and answer the call.
" hello? " i answered.

"Where are you? " i was asked by the excited voice of my friend Archie.
He has been all distant for a while since he had gone serious for scoring better than Megan this time.

" Just going on that blind date I'm sure Megs told you about ." I replied .

"What blind date ? "

" Well Megs wants me to meet a colleague of Max who is visiting them tonight" I sighed.
Max was Megan's husband and the love of her life .

"Oh ... ok let me know how it goes " he says and I hear him chuckle.

" Dont you dare laugh at me . I will get Megs to set you up the next time." i growled at him playfully.
" No need . I have enough girls on my trail and you and I both know that Megs cant choose my type of girls ." he said. Well that much was true. Megs and Archie fought worse than siblings and I could just never convince them to agree to one point.
" Yeah. Whatever. I'll see you later . I have to be there to help my friend before the guest/ blind date arrives." I sighed .

" ok byee ellie " he cooed . I hate that nickname.
" bye Archie" i said rolling my eyes at him.

With that I pressed and accelerator and hit the road. Traffic was hectic and it was a while before I reached Meg's home.

She was standing there at her door and she looked pissed. uh-oh.....
