chapter 10

Archie's car was almost full except for the front seat which i guess they vacated for me. I looked back at Archie who held his hands up in defense ," what ? I told you I am going out. "
"uh, no u didn't . "
"ok, well I did call you to invite you but u told me u were going on a blind date. So i thought no point in telling you now, is there?"
"whatever" I sighed and went to sit in the front seat of his black jeep.
" By the way I have already called the mechanic and he will fix up your car and return it to you in the morning and with that you owe me one ." he said cheerfully before i could open the door of the jeep.
" ok, what do you want? " it couldn't be that bad. I thought
or not.
" You get to hangout with me and my group of friends here for the weekend on that beach house " he said.
" oh? And who will do that report i have that is ready to eat my head like a piranha anytime soon?" i asked.
" oh no miss Elena, you cant use that excuse with me . i know you use that excuse all the time with megs. but then, she is Megan "the bimbo" as i like to call her and you are Elena " the lucky girl " who had the opportunity to be good friends with me ." he said using his hands to make quotes with his hands.
" Fine. I am already nearly finished with that report. How about next weekend ? " I asked and sighed.
" Oh great! We are sooo gonna enjoy this outdoor trip and I know you love the beach my darling." he said in a fake accent and for the first time this evening i giggled.
" aah so now let's go !!!!" he said happily.
sometimes I envy him for his happiness. He is soo sorted out. He knows what he wants and he gets it and if he doesn't then he happily accepts that he cant have it.
When he and Megs used to fight in high school , she always used to cut off the phone and then he would go in " not gonna talk to her" mode.
I had to call him and listen to him rant all about her for an hour before I used to finally convince him to give her another chance after she came crying to me .
Not that I had any problems . I mean that's what friends are for, right?
Coming back to the present , I opened the car door and buckled myself up. Archie sat in the driving seat and introduced me to his friends.
Archie was a friendly guy. He practically made friends wherever he went.
So everytime I met him he had new friends to introduce to me.
In the darkness of the jeep, I could see that one of the guy had blond hair and brown eyes and a smirk as he studies me. The guy sitting in the middle had brown hair set in a sexy way and his deep blue eyes were staring at me as if they could see right into my soul. I quickly averted my eyes. I had darkness within me that I didn't want everyone to see. So I quickly looked at the third guy and exclaimed," JAMES ???? " at the same time he said " Heya ellie"
"I...what are you doing here? I thought you had an important meeting ? ", I asked him .
" Yea , this was the important meeting but I never got the chance to tell you. He shrugged .
" okayyy... and Archie are you going to introduce the other guys ?" I asked.
" hey, I'm jake " the blonde said in a friendly way and we high fived .
" Ethan" , the guy with brown hair and deep blue eyes said and I smiled at them quickly before saying," Hi, I'm Elena."
So you are the girl because of whom we had to leave a club full of hot girls ?" Ethan said and ran his eyes assessingly over me.
" I hope she is worth it man. " he said .
before Archie could say anything I said ," oh? I hope you know that it wasn't my fault that the car broke down in the middle of the way and if you really didn't wanna leave then I'm sure you could have stayed. Archie and James over here wouldn't mind picking up their friend without you and I'm sure you would have found some easy girl to satisfy yourself." I said.
I wonder if I over reacted , but the guy seemed to get on my nerves easily.
instead of being offended though, the guy smirked and his blue eyes darkened if it was possible.
" aah ... fiesty I like it." he said.
So much for not remembering Mr Richard Evans. I glared at him and turned myself to look out of the window and the guys continued chattering .
I could feel James eyeing me questioningly and I felt Ethan's stare at me from time to time.
I didn't realise we had reached home as an easy conversation went in the car. As we reached my apartment i got out of the car and said," thanks for the ride Archie and I'll see you later James, bye Jake ." I said smilingly and averted my gaze from Ethan and started walking up my door till I heard Ethan calling from a distance. What now?
" you forgot your purse you really should be more careful . Anyway ... see you later ." he smirked and turned and went back to the car before I could reply.
ughh!! that guy.. I thought as I went up the stairs to my apartment who did he think of himself ? He didn't know me and he has no right to judge me .

Even if he does then why does it bother you?
Oh great. That inner voice again. It hadn't bothered me since sam.... wow , I didn't think of Sam the whole car ride here. That's an achievement maybe I need to hangout with Archie and James more and I'm sure being with and talking to Ethan has nothing to do with it.
This trip maybe a good sign after all.
