Chapter 13

After I had cooled down Archie and Megs, the rest of the people entered and while Max was immediately at Meg's side, Archie was still fuming.
"Archie, come with me. I want to talk to you.", I said.
So this is how me and Archie ended up walking by the beaches.
"Archie, you gotta stop being rude to Megs about everything. She is our friend and you have to treat her like one." I said
"Yeah right. Friend my ass. I dont care about her. I didnt invite her. So maybe she should understand and stay out of my life and not try to self invite herself! " he said and I could see the anger in his eyes.
Archie was like the silence of the storm on the outside and a full fledged tornado on the inside. He often said and did things he didn't mean to, but he is frank and believes in speaking his mind even if it means hurting the other person.
"look, I understand why you wanted not to let her be a part of your life but you have to let it go. so she chose to be with max and all . but you didnt exactly tell her that you love her or anything and maybe it wasnt meant to be. Plus she is happy and I think that is what should matter in the end . right?" I said.

" It doesn't matter to me that they have chosen to be together or whatever and please I don't have any crush on her anymore. It's just that I dont want her in my life." Archie said.

"Yeah right. She is our best friend and she cares about you and I care about you two so you better suck it up and. Let. It .Go." I said, emphasising on the last part.
" Fine, whatever. Who cares! She can stay. It only means that less people will have to cook." he said. But I know he was doing it because he cared about her too.
So we came back to the cabin and the tension had dissolved by then.
" Okayy everybody, it's already evening and I'm sure you all are tired to lets call it a day and rest today. " Megs said.
" Me and Ashley are going to prepare the dinner. Elena? You wanna join us ??" Megs asked.
ETHAN P.O.V ( finally )
Wow! These guys were soo dramatic sorts. I mean seriously. Megan and Archie were fighting like children and Elena was like a refree between the two.
I had gone outside the cabin for signal to take a business call and was walking by the street to the cabin.
I think the only reason these guys stuck together for so long was because of Elena.
Elena.... the girl was interesting.. she was a completely different person on the outside world and different with her friends.
when I had met her at the cafe , I knew she would be there because I had heard James talking about it to her. Stalkerish I know. But I just had to see her again to see if she was the same or was it just my imagination in that car the day we met. She was even better.
She was spitfire and among the few girls who actually had the strength to avoid my charm. She was intriguing to me on different levels. I had lied to her when I had said that I only wanted that truce because of her friends and I didn't really care but the truth was that I was the one who suggested to Archie on the car trip that we should bring her with us on that trip. Her brown eyes held mysteries and sadness and though she was always acting happy and giddy infront of her friends and solving their problems, but I could see that it was just a facade to mask her sadness and I sensed that her friends knew about it.
I had only met her twice and this trip was something I was looking forward to.
when I entered the cabin, Megan and Ashley were in the kitchen and I could hear hear the guys in another room. I entered and saw that Archie, Max, James and Jake were playing the video games, but Elena was nowhere to be seen.
So I went back to the kitchen and asked ," guys, where's Elena? "
"oh.. she was here sometime ago... must be near the beach .. it's nearly impossible to take that girl away from water. I think its because of her sunsign..hmm....maybe..." Megs started babbling.
I seriously needed to clear my mind off that girl so I went off on my own to the beach. I was sitting there replying to messages on his phone when Elena came to call me for dinner. I was engrossed in my phone and didn't hear her come up behind me.
"Hey, dinner is ready and they're calling you." she said and turned to walk in the direction of the cabin leaving me to follow behind her.
"Where were you for the past-" I looked at my watch "-two hours ?" I asked
"None of your concern but I was sitting in the balcony reading my novel." she said in a annoyed tone.
"Wow, what book?" i asked.
"Fifty Shades Darker " she said in a sarcastic tone but I acted as if I didn't notice and said," really? I never thought that you were into such stuff."
I said
"ughh! I'm not. It was sarcastic Mr smarty pants. Look , I said that I would be polite infront of them. But ONLY infront of them. So don't act so friendly." she said in a polite tone and walked off.
Oh! Your definitely turning on my alpha wolf babe and getting under my skin I thought as I followed her.
