The weekend came faster than I expected. I had just packed my duffel bag and was waiting outside my apartment for the guys to come.
I heard the purr of Archie's Mercedes and as soon as it stopped I quickly put my stuff in the car and climbed in the front seat only to find that the car was empty except for the blue eyed handsome guy who had often come across my mind during the week and whom I had avoided running into for the rest of the week.
"Hey Elena, glad to see that your so excited for our trip." he said and I hid the shiver that went down my spine as he again said my name in his sexy drawl.
"Hey, where are the others? ", I asked.
"They will meet us there. As your friend and her husband dropped in on Archie's home early this morning, we had to take another car. Hence you and me. But don't worry, we still have to pick up Ashley and James from his home." he said never breaking eye contact with me .
"I-I'm not worried and neither am I affected in this least bit by you ." I said, sounding calmer and more confident than I actually felt inside.
"Really ? Is that so?" he said leaning closer and closer causing me to lean back into my seat.
" Dont worry I wont be thinking of taking advantage of you. Anyway, you know your not really my type. I usually prefer girls more.... voluptuous than you" he said and with that he leaned back and I noticed he had put the seat belt on for me. Not letting him know how much that affected me, I put on the cool facade and answered," oh... you mean the blondie bimbos who are stupid enough to fall for your fake charm and this body?" I said tilting my head to the side.
"Oh ... they definitely fall for the abs baby girl." he said with a smirk on his face.
"Oh please.. spare me the attitude I'm too sexy for my own good." Your arrogance cuts out whatever charm you may have." I said with a sweet smile, he was about to reply when I cut him off " shouldn't you start driving? I mean I wouldn't want to be late for the trip you know."
" Fine. But just remember that we had a truce and we will try to get along and not fight infront of everybody, understand?" he said as if talking to a 3 year old.
"Whatever" I said and the rest of the drive was covered in silence.
We reached Jame's home, he and Ashley were waiting outside with their luggage. After they put their luggage with mine, they sat in the back seat.
"Heyyy Ashley, how are you?", I asked .
Ashley Zirconia came to this city when she joined mine and Jame's school in 10th grade and she had been an average student. She had completed school and college while doing several part time jobs. However, she never ever asked me or Jamie boy for any favours. She was a shy and innocent girl and "Purely beautiful like a goddess according to James who had a huge and I mean "huge" crush on her. But he was never able to tell her.
James rolled his eyes as I kept sending him secret wiggles of eyebrows and knowing looks as he shifted slightly towards ashley who started blushing.
The rest of the trip was covered with me and Ethan bickering and singing occasional songs that came up on the radio and Ashley and James clicking several selfies ;)
We reached the cabin an hour after the others and I was already bouncing in my seat before we stopped the car to see archie and meg's reaction on seeing each other. I mean, come on ... they're my besties for life.
Drake hadn't been able to come as he and his girlfriend and "best friend" Patricia had gone off for their own trip.
Please ... his girlfriend was really friendly and nice but his "best friend" was an out and out bitch.
Drake no longer talked or hung out with us anymore. Always busy with her. Sometimes I wonder how his girlfriend never felt jealous of the two.
Anyway, inside the cabin, Megs and Archie were sitting side by side and facing away from each other.
"Guys,please...its supposed to be a relaxing trip." I said and I could feel Ethan's eyes on me.
The thing is that when Megs and Archie fight, the only one that can stop them is me because they both consider me their good friend and Archie sort of listens to me. Sometimes.
"I never invited her then why the hell is she here on this trip inside my cabin????" Archie asked
Yeah..he became kinda rude but he is a really good person at heart and has always tried to help me and Megan,
" Yeah, its really good I invited myself because you obviously didn't care enough to invite me on your own, how rude." Megs replied .
"Megs-" Max started but was immediately cut off as they both shouted "STAY OUT OF IT" at the same time.
Yeah. This is how it usually went.
I went towards them both and sat down infront of them.
"Everyone out of the room except Megs and Archie " I said in a decisive tone and they all knew they should obey me except, of course for Ethan who refues to budge.
Megs and Archie were now circling each other like two people ready for a round of WWF.
"Ethan, GET OUT." I screamed at him while he stood their not knowing whats about to come his way.
Suddenly Megs and Archie stopped and turned towards him while narrowing their eyes and Ethan stood their while i gave him a 'you asked for it' look.
"You , Mr Ethan -"
"Should know when not to interfere -"
"And listen-"
"And respect-"
"And trust Elena- "
"When it comes to the two of us" they finished together.
"Wait, that was my line." Archie said, being Archie.
Ethan brought his hands up in the air as if surrendering and then slowly walked out while facing us but his eyes showed only concern for me and that surprised me.
I mean its not like they would hurt me. Guess he doesn't know that yet.
Ethan and Megs were circling each other again.
"Okay guys , enough ! Time to break it up"i said.
"But-"
"No arguments .Now sit down and talk like the adults you are."
