Night tear

Hyunjin is trying to fall asleep again.
It's hurtful to hear Felix cry every night.
They have been dorm mates for a while now and every night Hyunjin hears how Felix is crying painfully in the next room.
It feels like no one else has even noticed.
Hyunjin doesn't know Lix that well yet.
Only his name, class, room and well...the fact that he cries every single night.
Other people in the dorm are talking about something tragic that happened to Lix like a year ago.

Hearing Felix cry wasn't the same as anyone else. There was so much emotion in it. You could hear how his heart ached every time he sobbed.
Every quiet sniff and gasp hurt more than it should.

Hyunjin decided to do something about it.
He got up and quietly walked to Felix's door.
He knocked on the door and whispered: "Felix? Can I come in?"

Lix went quiet.
"I'll come in, ok?" Hyunjin said and opened the door slowly.
He saw a blonde boy sitting on his bed wrapped inside his blanket. His eyes were red and a bit swollen.
He had messy hair and still few tears on his face.
"What' wrong?" Hyunjin asked with the softest voice he could make.
After getting no answer he sat down next to Felix.
"You can tell me. I promise."
Felix looked at him with teary eyes.
"Everything."
"What?"
"You asked me what is wrong. Everything."
Hyunjin was very worried.
"Well you want to share something?"
"Well...my whole family is dead, I don't have any friends and I'm just not a huge fan of living rn."
Felix's voice was shaky, but surprisingly deep.
"What happened?"
"They died in a car accident two years ago."
Hyunjin was shocked, but didn't want to show it incase it would come off as rude.
"I'm so sorry..."
"Don't be. Everyone hates me."
Those words really hurt Hyunjin even tho he barely knew Lix.
"That's not true! I like you.."
Felix's serious look started to slowly turn into a small smile.
He was really cute when he smiled. Infact even when he cried.
"I cry every night since I didn't expect anyone to hear me."
"I get it. Night is a peaceful and quiet time to just let it all out."
For a minute they just looked at each other.
"Can we...hug?" Felix asked.
"Sure." Hyunjin said and opened his arms.
Felix carefully placed himself between Hyunjins arms and just closed his eyes.
The hug was very warm and loving. Something Felix had never had before.

They were both tired and ended up falling asleep.
Felix could feel Hyunjin wrapping his arms around Lix's body warming him up.
How could his life get better in only one hour...
