Strange lover pt.1

2pm, Monday

He gave me a flower on our lunch break. If that's not a sign then what is?

"Are you seriously writing that thing again?" A brunette boy asked while tossing a rock in the lake before us.

"Come on, you'd be the exact same if you had the guts to even dream about someone." 

"Except that I wouldn't, cause I'm a realist and happen to know that the notes app isn't gonna change anything." 

"Maybe not, but it's so much fun. And I can't exactly talk to you about him, so-"

"You have a point." 

Seungmin slowly swung his feet off the pier. 

"You know, I've been meaning to tell you something." 

His eyes turned to his hands as if he was avoiding eye contact.

"Jeongin actually has a boyfriend..." Seungmin said hesitantly.

Felix froze. He didn't want Seungmin to see the disappointment. 

"Oh..well that sucks..it's not like we were ever gonna happen anyway so-" 

He tried to make the fall a bit softer, mostly for himself. 

Seungmin kept his eyes on Felix while trying to clock his emotions.

"I should have told you earlier, but even I found out just a few days ago. Apparently he's dating some guy from Minho's class. Hyunjin, I think." 

Felix had never even heard that name. It made him mad how someone who Jeongin had never even mentioned managed to capture him.

"Is he..nice?" 

"Don't know. I've never met him either. Kinda random if u ask me."

"yeah.."

The next day Seungmin was chatting with Minho right before their first lesson of the day.

"When did they even meet?" 

"I wish I knew. Jeongin just stepped into my history class and kissed him one day." 

Minho was just as clueless as everyone else. 

"Hyunjin seems nice. We've only spoken a few times, but it's been fine. I just feel bad for Felix. I know he had a thing for Jeongin."

"Yeah, he's pretty pressed. Then again I tried to warn him many times." 

Suddenly Chan ran to them. 

"Did you hear??"

"About the Hyunjin thing?"

"Yeah. Crazy, right?"

"Yeah, who would have thought.." Minho still tried to connect the dots in his head.

"I had a hunch." Chan said.

"Really?"

"Oh, gotta go!" An with that Chan was off with some other friends.

"How did Chan out of all people know?" Seungmin laughed teasingly.
