Having a fireman as a roommate was useful when you'd accidentally set a piece of kitchen roll on fire and set it down on the table without noticing. You'd panicked and made the fire worse but Buck had it out in seconds. He'd helped your neighbour get her cat out of a tree and now you were regularly given free hand made cookies.

Buck had gotten the boxes of decorations out of the lift before his shift. You planned on using your day off to decorate. You'd gotten the tree up and all of the smaller decorations but all you had left was the lights.

"Hey I'm back. The place looks good." Buck called as he came into the apartment. "I got a lift back with Hen. My cars been playing up."

When you didn't reply Buck set his bag down and frowned. Your phone was on the side counter along with your keys so you must have been home.

"Umm just so you know, I'm kind of stuck in the Christmas lights." You said quietly. Buck hurried through the house and spotted you in the living room. You'd been trying to hang the lights over the curtain rail but slipped and gotten yourself so tangled that you couldn't get down. Your feet were just touching the window sill but your arm looked painfully twisted.

"I've got you!" He said quickly. You couldn't see what was happening but you felt an arm wrap around your legs and you were lifted up.

"Ow!" You yelped as your arm moved. It eased the pain but caused a new one.

"Trying not to move it too much. Can you lean against the wall?" He asked you nodded and he went quiet. You felt him moving and then heard him talking to someone. "Hen, I need you to come back, (Y/N)'s had an accident and I need a hand."

A few minutes later you heard a bang at the door and Hen hurried in. "What happened?" You heard Athena say before Buck explained how he had found you.

"Oh my god. Don't worry (Y/N)!" Hen said.

"I'm trying not to." You said quietly.

"I can't cut (Y/N) down and hold them up." Buck explained. You heard the sound of the step ladder being moved and Then stepped up into view.

"Don't you worry. You're in good hands with Hen." Athen assured you.

"You know what. You're really lucky you managed to get your feet on that edge. This could have been much worse. You might have a lot of pain though and some bruising. But I don't think anything is torn or broken. Buck if you could lift them higher I can cut them down." Hen said.

"Here. Let me help." Athena said. You felt her helping Buck lift you and soon your arm was cut free. You gasped as they helped you down to sit on the sofa. Athena frowned as she inspected the window sill. Hen was checking you over and she'd called for an ambulance.

"Buck. You rent this place from the landlord?" Athena asked.

"Yeah." He answered as he got up and walked over to her.

"I'm not saying it was smart of (Y/N) to climb up there like that but this window sill is rotten, look at the wood. You know what, I've been here four times because of issues with the building." Athena muttered.

"We were here for three incidents this month." Hen added.

"What does that mean?" Buck asked.

"It means that you're taking a ride with (Y/N) to the hospital to get that injury sorted out. While I have a word with the landlord about the fact that this building is rotting apart and he's done nothing to fix it, which he told the health department that he had done." Athena said dangerously. She grabbed your phone, your keys and a jumper for you and put them in a bag which Buck took as he walked you down to the ambulance.
