Spicy Level: SHE NEED SOME MILK 

Being Jean's second in command, you were often extremely close to her daily. Helping her complete her commissions, ushering her in and out of meetings and paper work. You practically were a part of her job. And you were grateful that she had taken you in to be her second in command. You had been in that position for almost two years now, and seeing Jean's life change was amazing for you. You and Jean had gotten very close over the years, too close sometimes. But it didn't matter, she was dating Diluc, the owner of Dawn Winery. Every day you two worked together, she would complain about something with him.

"He's too closed off, I want him to be more vulnerable with me," 

"I wish he showed his affection to me more,"

"He didn't even drop by to say hi to me at the office today,"

The complaints fueled your jealousy to be in Diluc's position. Oh what you would give to be able to call Jean yours. You wanted to give her what Diluc couldn't, you knew that you were the right person for her. Yet, she couldn't see it. All she saw you as was a mere work partner. Nothing more, nothing less. It was another bright sunny day in Mondstadt, and you and Jean were completing her commissions for the day. The final commission was to defeat some Hilichurls who had settled in too close to the Mondstadt borders. As you walked along the grassy path with Jean, you noticed she looked upset about something. 

"Hey, earth to Jean!" You exclaimed as you waved a hand in her face. She shook her head as she looked at you and smiled. 

"Yes?" 

"You okay? You looked mad about something," You said. She sighed. 

"Just Diluc again," 

"What'd he do this time?"

"I wanted to plan a nice romantic evening tonight in Mondstadt, but he declined and said he was busy with something, like usual," 

"Hm, do you know what he's busy with?" You asked. Jean shook her head. 

"I don't know, and I feel like he's hiding something from me," She said as she rested her chin on her hand. You sighed as you patted her back to comfort her. Sparks flew through you as you touched her back. 

"I'm sure it's nothing. Probably work related, or he's planning a surprise for you!" You exclaimed, but as those words left your mouth, you felt bitter on the inside. You had once again wished that you were Diluc. You wanted to be the one to hold her at night, to comfort her when her work got too tough for her to handle. You wanted nothing more than to call Jean yours, and yet, you couldn't. 

"I hope that's the case, I wouldn't want him to be doing the unspeakable," She said as she twisted a lock of her hair. You smiled as you squeezed her hand in an assuring manner. 

"I'm sure he isn't! He's a good guy after all, right?" You asked. Jean squeezed your hand back. Butterflies danced in your stomach at the sudden touch. 

"Yeah, he is," She said. You two finally approached the camp where the Hilichurls were. 

"Ready?" You asked as you took out your claymore. Jean nodded as she whipped out her sword. 

"Let's go!" She exclaimed as she rushed toward the camp, slicing a hydro slime in half during the process. You smiled as you admired her fighting skills. Each step she took was aggressive yet elegant, a very unique fighting style. You swung your claymore aggressively as you broke a Hilichurls small-circular wooden shield. You then summoned a gust of water and threw it at a pyro Hilichurl, extinguishing its fire. You turned back to the shieldless Hilichurl as you swung your claymore once more, killing it in one smooth motion. You then turned around and charged toward the pyro Hilichurl, defeating it in another swift motion. You turned to see how Jean was doing. She was holding her own per usual, swinging her sword as a mitachurl who was wielding an axe. She cut off the arm that was holding the axe, and used her wind to push it back as she ran towards it with a charged attack. She quickly plunged her sword into the Mitachurls chest, killing it immediately. She looked back at you and smiled as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.
