"You?! Wait, what?!" George stammered, looking to and from the guards to Karl who was struggling not to burst out laughing at George's expression. "Yup. Surprise." Karl said, making jazz hands as he spoke.

He stood up as George shook his head in disbelief, before a thought struck him, "Did, did I do anything disrespectful? Or-" He stammered, a bit intimidated by Karl's power.

Karl only laughed, "No, don't worry. I was going to tell you earlier, but I thought it would be fun to surprise you, boy did you look surprised. Totally worth it." He said, stepping down onto the lower ground. George smiled in amusement and relief, "That you did." He said, rolling his eyes playfully.

Karl nudged his shoulder, "Come on, I'll show you your bedroom. Tomorrow, I'll take you on a tour of my castle." He gazed upwards as he thought of everything they could do the following morning.

"Oh." Karl exclaimed, turning to the guards standing at the edge of the room, "You guys are dismissed." Sapnap and the guards left in the throne room as Karl and George headed to the bedrooms.

George fell into step beside the taller brunette, "Wait, then why were you living in that cottage?" He asked, a bit confused, something wasn't adding up.

Karl shrugged dismissively, "Oh, that. Yeah, I sometimes like to go out into the village and just leave the castle for a few days, it's refreshing." He explained and George nodded in answer. "Oh."

"Well, here's your room, I'm in the one next to it if you need anything." Karl said, waving goodbye to the brit as he entered the room next to it, the door softly clicking shut behind him.

George stood in the dimly lit hallway for a few minutes, pondering everything that had happened in the past few days. It certainly was a lot to take in in such a short amount of time.

After gathering his thoughts, the brunette opened the door and went into the room, closing the door behind him gently. A plain, but decorated room was there to greet him. A balcony was directly across from the door, the see through-curtains drifting in the open breeze.

He had to admit, it was a little creepy. But so far, he had seen nothing bad on the island and everybody was the nicest people he had ever met. Besides, he walked over onto the balcony and studied the view below, it was too high for any person to climb, the smooth walls impossible for any human to scale.

George let out a sigh of relief before leaving the balcony, stepping back into the slightly warmer room. A bed was to his left, comfortable silk sheets spread neatly across it and on the other side of the room, a wardrobe was placed, with a full body mirror next to it.

The brit approached the mirror cautiously, I wonder, he mused, placing a pale hand onto the frame. He knocked lightly on the reflective surface, but nothing happened. Should have expected that, he scolded himself.

He turned back to the bed, sliding into the warm covers and taking in a deep breath of the outside scents. Mushrooms heavily laced the air, along with the salt of the ocean. He sighed in contentment, life was so much better here.

And with that on his mind, George turned onto his side, staring at the open balcony, the pale curtains flowing gracefully in the gentle breeze, and promptly fell asleep.

It had only been a minute that George had been asleep before the whoosh of something suddenly awoke him with a start, he sat up in bed sharply.

"Hello?" He called out, his voice slightly softer than normal in case he woke somebody up accidentally.

The brunette tilted his head to scan the room, before his soft brown eyes landed on the open balcony. He gasped in alarm, a shadow of a person suddenly disappeared. "Who's there?" He called out even louder, maybe he should call for Karl.
