(NO ONES POV)

Ink raised his hand, looking at his teacher as he waited for a response. He was currently in his 1st block and homeroom, the first class of the day. This was his ELA class, taught by one of his favorites, Mrs.O'Shea. Speaking of which, she finally turned around and called on Ink. He smiled at her, asking politely if he could be excused to the restroom. She nodded, turning back to the board to continue her lesson. Ink stood, walking out the door and down the hall towards the men's restroom.

As he entered, he heard the familiar sound of crying. It was strange, many of the men in his school were too afraid of 'ruining their reputation' to cry. "Hello..?" He called, hoping to get an answer

"H-Hello?"

Who was this? He knew many people in the school due to his popularity, though he had never heard anyone much like this.

"What's your name?" He asked, walking further into the bathroom

"Error. My name is Error" The stranger, Error, responded back

"Error, huh? Quite a unique name, I like it. I'm Ink" He did indeed like his name. It was special, and made specifically for him.

Error stepped out of the stall he was hiding in, only to show he was..a ghost..? Ink couldn't believe it. He had been talking to a ghost. That's why he didn't recognize him. "You're a ghost..?"

Error chuckled quietly and smiled "I thought that was obvious?"

There was something about this boy. Sure, he was a ghost, but he was special. His spirit seemed kind, and too quickly taken. His laughter was sweet, like a child who just got their favorite candy. His smile was bright enough to make anyone's day better. He was different, in a very, very good way.

"How old are you?" Ink asked, trying not to be too nosy

"Well, I'm technically a Junior. Thought, I died in my sophomore year" Error responded, looking away as he remembered his death

"Ah, well I'm a sophomore" Ink said with a smile "Speaking of which, I need to get back to class before I become suspicious" he continued, laughing quietly

"Can I come with?" Error asked almost immediately. He had finally found someone who could see him. Hear him. He didn't want to lose that now

"I don't mind. As long as you don't mess anything up" Ink said as he began to walk out of the bathroom

Error smiled brightly and followed him, looking around the hall and the different classrooms as they walked. He zoned out as he saw all of the classes, some filled with some of his old friends

"Here we are" Ink said, pulling Error out of his thoughts. He looked up at the sign which read 'Mrs.O'Shea'. His old homeroom class. He remembered this one very clearly "Ah, Mrs.O'Shea. She's nice" he said, looking at Ink

Ink turned, looking at Error "You had her?" He asked, walking back into the classroom silently. He knew no one could hear Error, so he'd have him explain and just respond on paper or something

"Yeah. She was my homeroom class the year I died. I actually died in here" Error explained as Ink sat at his desk and pulled out a paper, looking around the classroom

Ink pulled out his paper, writing on it before turning it to Error 'How did you die, if you don't mind me asking?'

Error sighed "I had this thing that made me glitch out at certain times, mostly at random. So, when I did glitch out, it wasn't that surprising. However, one day, my glitching got too bad and cut off my breathing. No one noticed until I was already dead."

Ink replayed that last sentence in his head 'No one noticed until I was already dead.' He couldn't imagine what that must've been like. For Error, for Mrs.O'Shea, for his classmates. To find a dead kid and not even know what had happened. To have your breathing randomly cut off and die from suffocation without even knowing what was happening.

'Oh my. What about your family? How did they react?'

"My mom was devastated" Error said, looking at Ink "I felt horrible as I just watched her read the note from the school. She even had to tell my brothers."

'You had brothers?'

"Yeah, their names were Geno and Fresh. I've tried talking to them, but apparently only you can hear me"

Geno and Fresh. Those names sound familiar...Ink tried to remember where he had heard those names from.

His 2nd period.

It was a class of smart kids from all four grades. Geno, a smart senior with all A's, known for his strange looks and grades. Fresh, a smart freshman with all A's and B's, known for his slang and strange obsession with learning about Psychology and Magic. They were Error's brothers. He had to tell them what Error had said. He looked up at Error, handing him the paper. It read 'write what you just told me'

Error looked confused "What? That I've tried talking to them?"

Ink nodded and whispered "Make sure you put your name and the fact it's you"

Error just nodded back and took the pencil, scribbling the words. He handed it back. It read 'It's Error. I've tried reaching my brothers, Geno and Fresh, though supposedly only Ink can hear me"

As if on cue, the bell rung. Ink took the paper and shoved it in his book bag, practically running out of the classroom to his second block.

He was going to tell them.
