KIBA could not describe it even if he tried.

As soon as he had touched the pretty waitress, Kiba watched his entire life flash before his very eyes. It took the detective a long, puzzling moment to realise that it wasn't just his life dancing in front of him, like some sort of mirage, now.

It was theirs.

Her touch was a surge of electricity to run across his skin - forcing his tired thoughts to wake. It was a single lightning bolt which struck right on the spot where their fingers connected, and just kept on striking. The peculiar sensation made every single hair on the nape of Kiba's neck stand to eerie attention. His body had begun to burn.

She pulled her hand from his own. He tried shaking away the inexplicable feeling, but it just wouldn't go. The buzz of whatever he had felt was stubbornly persistent to linger. And that was just from a mere brush of fingers. Kiba didn't even dare think what it would feel like if their entire bodies would wind up pressing against each other at that moment.

Pause! Why would he even think of such a thing in the first place?!

His breath was shaky as it caught into the back of his throat. Kiba had never realised that there had been such a sad, profound emptiness inside him before. A void full of bitter, honed cold to reside within the place his heart had once been.

And by some bizzare occurence, it made sense that she had been the one carrying his other half for all this time. That this pretty waitress who he didn't even know the name of, was the one to fill the void, and melt the ice along the way.

Kiba was whole. Could barely contain it all inside of him, and was worried he'd snap because of it, too. If he didn't control the sudden outburst of whatever the fuck this was, he would surely start breaking apart at the seams. It was too much to handle.

He stood up abruptly, spine straight, posture gone rigid. And as soon as he towered over her - she took a cautious step away from the table she had no trouble serving only minutes prior. He frowned at the way her stature seemingly shrunk before his own. This girl was as confused as he was, he was sure of it. Come to think of it, he could almost... Feel her bewilderment.

He looked at her, but this time - he truly looked at her. Oh, she was a deity, absolutely beautiful - every single inch of her. Her eyes; wide open and searching his own, were utterly breathtaking. He let his gaze dip to her mouth, next. The soft curve of her Cupid's bow made his skin go taut over his bones. He caught the slight tremble of her upper lip with every shaky inhale she took. The sudden urge to kiss her made his face grow hot. Kiba cringed at the thought.

"I th-think you should leave, Sir." she stammered finally, her voice barely above a hushed whisper.

"Yes, I think I should," Kiba agreed, despite his mind screaming at him not to leave her.
