- KIBA -
OUR roles have ended up reversed.
Her desire - which I've been more than eager to poke and prod at throughout the rest of dinner - is as big and starved as an ancient beast by now. Unfortunately, she has remained awfully stubborn to not let it show its hungry mouth full of sharp teeth to me by the time we get home that night.
And because of her rather irksome unwillingness to break; I find myself picking another tactic.
Making myself comfortable on the edge of her bed, I watch her whilst pretending to be the prey, instead of the predator. I suppose I do not mind playing the role of the scared little doe for a little while. After all, if it provokes her into motion, I am more than happy to deceit her. She didn't mind doing it to me last night.
I think it is time that I return the favour.
"You scared of me or something?" I ask as casually as I am able.
"No," is all she offers as an answer. Her voice sounds calm, but I still catch the slight tremble of caution inside it. It makes me fight back the wolfish grin which tries to comfortably settle itself on my face. Not yet.
"Are you sure?" I say, pouting to lure her in, "'Cause you're watching me like a hawk from across the room." I'm going to circle her slowly; carefully.
"I'm sorry, but," she is quick to apologize now before taking one hesitant step towards me, "You're up to something, aren't you?"
"I don't know," I reply, and it's just so very hard not to grin, and grin, and grin, "Am I?"
"I can't tell." She sighs, taking another step, "You're feeling... A lot of things at once. I can't pinpoint it." Not yet.
"How about you come over here, and I tell you all about it, mm?" I offer my friendliest smile now, and give the soft mattress a pat, "Or are you too big of a coward for that, perhaps?"
"Tsch, I am not a coward!" she fusses quietly, and approaches me without a trace of caution now. Ah, there it is - my hot blood to run through her veins. Working like a charm, as always. She really is me.
"You're completely positive about that?" I provoke her further, because I need the momentum, "'Cause you sure seem like a wuss to me; acting so hesitant after I took you out on such a nice date."
"I'm not a wuss, and I'm not hesitant." she says, the furrow of her brows tight with annoyance, "What are you even going on about?" Just a little more.
"It hurts my feelings. I've been good to you, sweetheart." I mutter, but my attention isn't focused on what I'm telling her anymore. It doesn't matter what I say, anyway. It is time.
