The following week passed by fast. Dana spent as much time as she could with her dad, Susan and the kids; even Indio came by more often than usual, but the closer the end of the holidays came, the more Dana could feel anxiety rising up inside of her.
She always had this feeling before exams, especially oral exams, that made her uneasy und restless. Although she tried to suppress it, she was so nervous that she spent 2 hours more than usual each evening studying until she knew everything by heart.
"Felia." Dana startled from the voice and turned around. Her dad leaned in her door frame, a worried expression on his face. "Go to bed. You need to sleep." He walked over to her and closed her books, one by one.
Dana let herself slump in her chair, her gaze tracing to the clock that hung on the wall. Her eyes widened when she realized that it was 2 am already. She had completely lost track of time. She stretched her back, her hands interlockes, pulling against the ceiling. She caught her father's eyes. He had been staring at her.
"Is everything okay?" he asked.
"Yeah, yeah." She shrugged her shoulders. "I just get anxious before exams."
"You know everything." Robert argued. When he caught her doubting look he asked, "When was Frank Lloyd Wright alive? And what was his style?"
"1867-1959 and School of Chicago. He's known for organic architecture." She answered in a matter of seconds.
Her father grinned. "See?"
"Yeah, alright. I'll go to bed." She grumbled.
She now felt the fatigue rush in and was glad that she had gotten ready for bed earlier. Dana let herself fall into bed. She was out like a light as soon as her head hit the pillow. The last thing she noted was her dad's light chuckle and a kiss, pressed to her fore head.

Dana's last day in Malibu was spent on the beach. She built a castle of sand with Avri and Exton, while Susan and Robert watched them, enjoying the sun.
Robert reached over to take Susan's hand, his eyes still on the kids. She turned her head to him. "Everything alright?"
"Mmh." He hummed. "Perfect."
"But you're already missing her." "Yup."
Susan laughed.

The next morning Dana was barely awake when Robert drove her to the airport in their Honda Odyssey, the family car. She had spent the early evening watching a movie with Exton and Avri and when they were in bed she, Robert and Susan just sat together and talking until it was late. She yawned.
"Oh, you're awake." Her dad joked, seeing has she hadn't moved in a while.
Dana grinned. "Yup."
"I-..." Robert was interrupted by the ringing sound of his phone. "Dana, can you answer the phone?"
She took the phone and looked at the caller ID. The teen gaped. "Jon Favreau? Fucking Jon Favreau?"
Rob chuckled. "Come on. Answer."
"Hello. This is Robert's phone." She said after clicking the green button. Her voice was slightly higher than usual, although she tried to contain her excitement.
"Hi, it's Jon. Can you give me Robert?" He asked; a little bit of confusion evident in his voice.
"Uh, yeah. He's driving right now, so he can't really. Do you want me to pass on a message?"
"Oh no. It's fine." He dismisses. "Uh, who exactly are you?"
Dana looked at Robert briefly, asking if she should tell him. He nodded, being able to imagine what they were talking about. "Dana. I'm Robert's daughter."
"What? Wait, you're the mystery girl. Well, he has to explain some things."
Dana laughed. "I bet."
"Okay then, it was nice to talk to you. Tell him to call me back." "Will do. Bye."
"Bye."
Dana hung up. "He said you have some explaining to do and he wants you to call him back." She grinned.
"That's what I thought." Robert chuckled.
They arrived at the airport a couple of minutes later. Father and daughter got out of the car, Robert grabbing Dana's suitcase while she took her handbag. After they had handed in her stuff they strolled to security as they still had enough time. Luckily no one recognized Rob since he wore a beanie and sunglasses.
Robert was able to go through security without a ticket since Dana was a minor and therefore supervision.
When it was time for boarding, Robert took Dana into his arms. "Good Luck with you exams and have fun in Italy." He gulped. "I'm sorry that I can't be there for your graduation."
"It's okay. We can skype. Thank you, dad." The last boarding call for Dana's flight echoed through the airport. "Bye. I love you."
"Bye, Felia. I love you too, sweetie." Dana swore she could see tears in her father's eyes.
She walked through into the tunnel leading to the plane and turned back around. Walking backwards she called, "See you in August." The girl waved.
Robert grinned and waved back, watching her disappear around the corner.
