Somehow, Felix had escaped the school's wrath with a mere two week suspension, something he was all too familiar with by now.
Changbin had come over to visit him and they sat out on the balcony of his house having lunch, quite like an old couple.
"Wanna watch TV after this?"
"Mm there's this new drama I want to see."
"You and your dramas," Changbin rolled his eyes playfully.
"You and your incessant need to try be the medieval definition of masculine," Felix retorted.
"Fair enough," Changbin accepted the harsh remark with grace, knowing it was a flaw of his.
In the end, they didn't watch the drama and ended up having it as background noise while they held quiet conversations filled with compliments or anecdotes and stories, interrupted by occasional kisses or Felix's giggles when Changbin accidentally tickled his neck.
The atmosphere was soft, comfortable and warm. They had their occasional fights, and some were serious, but they were probably the most stable couple in their gang. Everyone knew it, and loved it. They were almost role models for how communication should be, how love doesn't have to be complicated, how it doesn't need justification or cause.
At some point, they'd stopped talking and were just looking at each other now. There wasn't tension at all, just the two of them admiring each other in silence, until Changbin spoke, whispering because anything louder would feel like an intrusion. "It feels like I've known you and cared for you longer than I've been alive."
Felix had no idea how to respond to that and so he let out an incomprehensible sound instead, earning a laugh from the other.
"You know what i mean though, right? You and I, it's as though we have been taught to kiss in heaven and sent down to earth together, to see if we know what we were taught."
Felix was too stunned to speak. He just stared at his boyfriend with the expression of someone who was trying to focus on an eye test while at the optometrist.
"If you don't say something I'll show myself out and simply never come back."
"I love you too."
This was a big deal. A big, big deal. As stable a couple as they were, as much as they had fifty years anniversary vibes, they'd never said that before.
Changbin opened his arms and Felix leapt to him, hugging tight and only pulling back for a kiss.

"I'm sorry," Jisung lowered his head, feeling guilty.
"Why?"
"I made you come over yet again."
"Decaf, that's what I asked you to do, remember?"
"I know, but it feels like I'm constantly interrupting your life. I feel like a b-"
"Don't you dare say burden."
Jisung looked him in the eye now. "But I know i am. And.. I can feel that you're getting frustrated by it. I can tell you're losing interest in me, Min."
"... What?"
"It's just... You fell in love with me because I was in trouble and I clung to you. And that scares me. Because I'm getting better."
"Woah woah woah slow down. I'm not in love with you because you're broken, you know that right? I don't see you as something I need to fix."
"But-"
"Not done. You getting better.. That's a good thing. Why are you acting like it's not?"
"Because I'm scared that you'll leave once you think i don't need you anymore."
