"I completely forgot I was even playing music..."

"Yes well, I suppose you wanted to be dramatic."

"And I was alive when you all arrived?"

Changbin nodded. "Yes, but if I'm honest, I didn't think you would be for much longer."

"And... Minho, how did he-"

"Not well, of course," Changbin cut him off. "I was afraid he might break your ribcage with how he went on. He was temporarily delusional. None of us could get him off and away from you, it took three paramedics to drag him kicking and screaming."

"Fucking hell... And I told him he should've left me like that. No wonder he was so angry," Jisung sighed as he recounted their fight. "So then what happened after that?"

"Right," Changbin took a gulp of water from a little plastic cup he'd found in the room. "We drove to the hospital behind the ambulance in complete and utter silence. We were confused because we knew you were dead, yet they rushed you out of that ambulance just as fast as they'd rushed you in. Once we stopped the car, no one got out. It sounds heartless but keep in mind: to us you were gone. You still looked lifeless when they wheeled you into the ER. The ambulance driver then came by the car to tell Seungmin, because he was driving, something. I'm fuzzy on the details seeing as I was in my own world of grief, but I think Seungmin cut him off and he left before he could say anything. As it would turn out," Changbin interrupted himself with a chuckle. "He had come by to tell us you're alive. So, we spent the rest of the day in the wrong waiting room, thinking we were simply waiting for someone to come out and ask for a family member to handle the matters of your morgue journey. I shouldn't blame Seungmin but dear God I do."

"No wait don't blame him. You know how he is."

"Yes, but we spent hours thinking-"

"I know. But let's face it. That's not his fault, or Minho's, or yours, or anyone's except mine."

"Decaf don't say tha-" A knock at the door interrupted them.

"Yes?" Jisung called out, sending Changbin an apologetic look for the intrusion.

The door opened to reveal Minho, who was shocked to see Changbin with Jisung. "You went after Felix?"

Changbin scoffed and rolled his eyes. "I've had quite enough of this. What is the order you'd prefer? Seungmin wasn't allowed first, you were sceptical about Hyunjin being second, and now me? Please keep in mind that what you want doesn't matter at all," he turned to address Jisung now. "You said you didn't mind who came in, correct?"

Jisung nodded slowly, feeling uneasy with the tension.

"Precisely," Changbin just looked at Minho for a moment longer before standing up and kissing Jisung on the forehead again. "Goodbye darling, and good luck with your beast of a boyfriend."

Minho only gave him a sarcastic smile as he walked out. He then tentatively approached Jisung's bedside chair and sat slowly. "Hey there."

"I know you must be here for a specific reason, but could this conversation wait until after I've seen the others? I don't need more of you right now. You understand, right?"

Minho could only nod. "Of course," he stood. "Anyone specific?"

"No."

Minho gave a forced smile before turning around and leaving without another word.

"Oh look, they're back. How bad do you think it is?" Chan had spotted the infamous trio walking back towards the waiting room.
