The Alpha's Abused Mate

Chapter 12

*Lily's POV (I changed Lily's character too.)*

"Burm-mm....burggggg....bubb-baa..." the little blue-brown eyed beauty called out to me while splashing water around. Her eyes which very much reminded of my mate who rejected me, gleaming.

Abby was just learning to talk so she called me 'Burm' and Max, 'Bubba'. It's kinda funny when she tries to tell something but she cannot exactly pronounce the word properly so she changes the word to something else.

Yes, I have a little girl who is turning 2years in 2months and whose name is Abigail. And let me tell you, these two years with my baby and Max were the most wonderful years. I felt complete here with my baby and Max by my side.

Well, Max and I have been dating for a year now. And just like he said in the very start, he was always there for me just like every other mate. But a difference here was that he wasn't my mate and still he felt so close to that position.

'But you know that he can never take that position. That position is only for our mate!' My wolf snapped at me.

Now don't get her wrong...she likes Max. She is pretty comfortable around him. But she's still not over the fact of Liam rejecting us.

And me? Well I can't answer that question to you now cauz I, myself am living a quite doubt-filled life. My emotions are like, scattered all over the place. My heart has yet to recover from wounds that would probably never heal but its pain can atleast be made numb. I can't say I love Max but he definitely is out of the 'Friend-Zone'.

Liam broke my heart, crushed it and stepped on it. I don't think I can ever recover. But I found somethings that came good out of my bad situation.

My little angel, Abigail.

A guy that really likes me and supports me like a rock.

A pack that takes care of my most silliest troubles. A family that helped in bringing me a huge ray of hope.

We were currently in the pool since the weekends here are so much fun. We always had some or the other activity on our weekends because of all the busy schedules in the week days.

Abigail was wearing her little swimsuit and was just splashing around in my arms while Max, Jason, Joel and Jeremy were all busy betting on who was the best among them in doing stunts in the water.

'Men!' My wolf sighed dramatically.

I giggled with my wolf as I saw the guys who were like cold human stones during anything official and other times, they act as if they're even smaller than Abby.

But something seemed off with Jason. When I went earlier to call him for a swim, he was on the phone with somebody and as soon as I came in, he just cut the call. That was kinda strange.

He's never been tensed around his pack members especially if its the weekend. Something is really wrong.
'You should go talk to him later...We've never seen him this tensed before.' My wolf suggested.

"Yeah...okay." I said to her and shut off our mind link.

Well, let's see what he's up to...I thought as I started playing with Abby.
