The Alpha's Abused Mate

Chapter 8

*Lillian's POV*

Max slowly backed off the hug. We both stared at each other for a long time before I noticed that his tears were still pouring down like a dam had been let loose.

I raised my hands and wiped the tears. Like a lightning had bolted, Max jerked from my hands and we both sat there in an awkward but comfortable silence....Well that's a weird combination but that's how it was.

"Umm-mhm....so that explains the tiny bundle of joy growing in there?..." Max asks, pointing towards my tummy while receiving a confused expression from my face.

"What?..." I asked Max still maintaining my confused expression.

"I mean your baby." He told me...Baby...ok WHAT?! Then it struck me!

"Oh my freaking Moon-Goddess!" I shrieked.

"What?....please don't tell me you didn't know about it!" Max asked with wide eyes.

I ran to the mirror next to the toilet seat and took a look at my belly. I slowly raised my white shirt, and saw the tiny bulge....a very tiny one but big enough for me to notice it. Of course I had my panties on and was displaying my undies to Max....but I couldn't care less.....I freaking am pregnant!

Since I mated with an Alpha, my pregnancy rate is hell more faster than a normal female wolf! Meaning, a normal wolf's pregnancy lasts for 5 months but mine will last only for....only for 3 freaking months!

OMMG!

"What's wrong?" Max asked.

"Umm...ohh...nothing I'm just trying to recover from the shock that I'm pregnant with my rejected mate's child!" I yelled....making Max flinch.

Then I realized that it wasn't even his fault....why the heck am I throwing my frustration tantrums on him!?

"Look....I'm sorry...I shouldn't have yelled at you....because I know it wasn't your fault. It was the fault of the person who made me stand at this stage of my life. So I'm really sorr-"

Max cut me off by saying, "Hey...its totally all right.....I can help you with the baby you know...take care of it and all...so its totally cool!"

"Umm....okey...thnx." I replied amazed at how calm he really took things....I really need to learn that from him..

"So....ready to meet the alpha?" He asked while he held out his hand like a perfect gentle man.

"Well....I hate to not take that hand of yours....but I also hate to go to the alpha in nothing but a huge see-through shirt.....so once I get something appropriate to wear....I'll think about accepting your hand...." I said with a confident look on my face, my hands folded and my shoulders held high, proudly. Well I'm already feeling good enough I thought as I still maintained my strong posture.

"Yes....your highness...." Max replied with a dramatic bow and I chuckled. He left the room and closed the room door behind him, giving me enough space to dress myself. Wow...I'm already acting as if I knew this guy my whole freaking life.

After Max had left, I went out to get my American Tourister bag. As I placed my bag on the bed, the first thing I see as I open it is the picture of me, my mom, my dad and my brothers pouting to the camera with me in the centre of my brothers.

That was the most blissful moment I had with my family because they weren't cold towards me. They treated me so wonderfully that I once had a nickname as 'Spoiled Brat '.

Though I felt that I should forget that pathetic excuse of a family, a big part of my heart feels that I should go back to where I belong...where my mate belongs.

But I knew better....I will not go back...not for me but for the betterment of my child....I know they won't let my child live in peace. I can already feel the motherly instincts kick in.

I slowly rubbed my bump-less tummy....and smiled looking myself at the full-length mirror accross the room....
