Imagine Eleven

Siddharth woke up in the middle of the night, the other side of his bed was empty. Siddharth frowned, scrunching his eyes to get adjusted to the low lighting of their room and felt for his mobile phone on the bedside table. He clicked it open, the sudden bright light emitting blinding him for a good few seconds.

1:30.

Aadhi raat ko kahan chali gayi yeh gadhi!

Siddharth got out of bed, and walked towards the balcony, looking for the crazy thing that his Shehnaaz was. He returned empty-handed when he found the doors leading to the balcony closed and locked securely.

At least she's sensible enough not to saunter into the balcony in the middle of the night.

He glanced in the direction of the washroom, but gave up on the idea of checking inside and made his way out of the room instead. The hallway leading to the staircase was moderately lit to avoid any midnight mishaps. Siddharth descended the stairs, and saw the lights of the kitchen switched on.

A smile formed on his lips as he walked into the direction of the kitchen. He stopped at the entrance of the kitchen, leaning against one of the walls as he watched Shehnaaz gobbling up a bowl-full of 'Vanilla Ice-Cream' sitting on an empty slab in the enormous kitchen.

The smile on his face grew wider as he took in the picture of his adorable & cute "Gadhi" eating the Ice-Cream with the excitement of a five-year old.

To be fair, the Shehnaaz that he knew, couldn't be older than five. At least not in front of him.

A few seconds later, Shehnaaz looked up in his direction feeling his presence.

"Hey" Siddharth walked into the kitchen and hopped on the slab next to her. "You know that it's past midnight, right?"

Shehnaaz nodded innocently.

Siddharth looked at the half-eaten bowl of Ice-Cream. "Yeh kya ho raha hai?"

"Ice-Cream." Shehnaaz mumbled. "Tu khaayega?"

Siddharth smiled softly, taking the bowl from her and poked at the melted ice-cream with a spoon.

"Mummy ne dekh liya toh?" Siddharth asked quietly.

"Daant padegi." Shehnaaz replied innocently.

"Kyon?"

Shehnaaz pouted, "Kyonki aadhi raat hai.."

"Aur?"

"Sardi ho jaayegi." Shehnaaz said quietly.

"Phir?"

Shehnaaz shrugged. "Maa hai. Daant sakti hai." She said quietly.

Siddharth smiled at her response and pecked her lips. "Tu daant kha legi, but sudhregi nahi.. haina?"

Shehnaaz giggled.

"Chal jaldi finish kar. Sona bhi hai. Kal shoot hai na." Siddharth said, feeding her a spoonful of ice-cream.

"Tu kyon utha?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Tu nahi thi na.. mein apne panda ko miss kar raha tha!" Siddharth confessed.

Shehnaaz giggled. Siddharth kissed her nose. "Gadhi!"

"Kutta."

Siddharth frowned, "Jangli billi!"

Shehnaaz swatted at his shoulder, "Oye.. sherni hoon mai."

Sidharth chuckled, resting his head against Shehnaaz's forehead. "Meri sherni!"

"Aadhi raat ko bhi flirt nahi rukta na tera?" Shehnaaz teased.

Sidharth scoffed. "Tu kitni kameeni hai"

Shehnaaz grinned. "Chal neend aayi hai mujhe." She said, leaning against Sidharth.

"Utha ke le jau?"

Shehnaaz nodded. "Pyaar se.."

Sidharth rolled his eyes. "Nahi.. Mai toh khunndas se le ke jaaunga."

Shehnaaz whined, "Kyon kar raha hai?!"

Siddharth shook his head fondly. "Nautanki kaheen ki."

Shehnaaz wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled her body upwards into his chest, Siddharth pulled her closer.

"Ab mai sone laggi.." She mumbled quietly and buried her face in the crook of his neck.

Sidharth smiled fondly, adjusting her in a more comfortable position in his arms and walked back to their room.

"Good night."

Tiny. I know. I was taking up a word limit which I frankly tried not to exceed. So my first >600 words prompt. Midnight fluff.
