TW: underage drinking, smoking, sammy being mean :(
Music. So loud it hurts your ears. It was pouring through every open door at the Kiszka's house. I was in my room which had a window that looked over our conjoined yards and their house. I frowned to myself wondering why they didn't invite me.
I mean, I highly doubt there's a lot of people there. Probably just some of Kelly's friends, and some of the kids from school. Probably Josh's filming buddies too. Oh, and a lot of alcohol.
But I couldn't make sense as to why they hadn't at least asked me to stop by. So, I decided to be petty and text Ronnie.
Ivy: Hey 👋🏼 wyd?
Vonnie: Trying to fucking study over this loud ass music. Wby? Sam said you were busy tonight
I audibly gasped. I should've known he was behind this. Of course they'd never throw a party and not invite me.
Ivy: Of course he did. I'm not busy btw your brother is a liar
Vonnie: Brb killing him rn
I giggled at her response but I honestly did feel a little hurt. He's always been mean to me but he's never actually tried to keep me from being around before. Another ding erupted before I had time to ponder on whether or not he actually hates me enough to make his family cut ties with me.
Vonnie: Come over pls I need help with the murder
Ivy: On my way! 🔪
I hastily started putting together a presentable outfit. I finally settled on some white pants, and a baby blue sweater with clouds on it. Nothing too extravagant since most of the guests there are probably wearing dirty jeans and Hawaiian shirts.
Walking over there was a little rough since it was freezing, there was snow on the ground, and all I had on was white converse. It was all worth it though when I felt the warmth of the Kiszka house and seen the smiling faces of my second family.
"Ivy, baby! You're here," Mama K approached me, throwing her arm around my waist.
"Yeah. Ronnie invited me. I hope that's okay," I somewhat apologized because the thought never occurred to me until just now that they could've actually not wanted me there.
"Of course it's-," she cut herself off, "Ronnie? I told Sam to invite you earlier this week.."
I didn't know what to say since her and I both know that was a mistake. She slowly pieced together what happened.
"Samuel Francis!" she yells, which I hadn't been expecting. Neither did Sam because he jumped in his position on the stairs. His goofy grin slowly faded as he saw me. His hand that was holding his beer lowered to rest beside him.
"What?" he softly responded, feigning innocence. Danny was beside him along with some girl I'd never seen before and Mackenzie.
"Here. Now," Mama K pointed to the spot in front of her. A few people surrounding the area started laughing quietly. Sam stood from his sitting position quickly and stumbled over to where we were.
"Seriously, Mom? You had to make a scene," Sam whisper-yelled as he reached the two of us. Mama K's eyebrows raised in disbelief that he was back talking her right now.
"Did you tell Ivy she was invited on Wednesday like I asked you?" She asked him, although I'm pretty sure she knew the answer. She's probably testing to see if he'll lie. Which he will.
"Yes," he nodded, not even bothering to look at me when he does. Her face contorts in anger and she scoffs.
"It's really okay. I'm here now and-," I start to apologize for him because it's really not that big of a deal.
