I Will Fight You Over The Fact That You Have The Same Name As Me
I kicked the dirty off the ground as I walked towards what would soon be the place I'd spend the next weeks in.
I'm not nervous, I just never walked around without my friends by my side, so now that I'm on my own, I felt slightly vulnerable and more self conscious.
I'm pretty sure that people noticed that I was on my own for once, so their looks coming my way definitely did not help.
I finally spotted the cabin number 18 and sped up my pace so I could get there faster.
I remember this cabin. Me, Chloe and Jade spent one summer here, before they changed it into a double room and not a triple.
I soon opened the door and made my way inside. The room was just as I remembered, except with one less bed.
To my left there was a wall with another two doors in it, one which led to the shower room, and one which led to the loo. To my right there were two beds, facing the wall to my left, the first one pushed against the wall and the other one in the middle, a bed side table to the left of each bed and on the wall opposite from me there were two small wardrobes. The walls were a light wooden colour which contrasted with the floor, doors and the outside of the cabin, as they were both a very dark wood.
I noticed that on the bed that was pressed up against the wall there already was a suitcase placed on top of it. No clothes, no signs of any other things or living humans, just the suit case.
I assumed my room mate had already been here and left to go talk to some friends or something, so I walked over to the bed in the middle of the room and placed my suit case on top of it, before opening in and starting to take my clothes out.
I was in the middle of moving my underwear onto a small drawer on my bedside table when the door to the shower room opened and out came a tall, green eyed, red haired guy with an eyebrow piercing. I'd never seen him at camp before, so it must be his first year.
He looked at me with a confused expression and then his eyes focused on my hands which were currently holding my yellow sponge bob bra.
I quickly shoved it into the drawer before closing it while he smirked at me.
"Sponge Bob heh?" He questioned before walking towards the other bed and sitting on it with his back leaning against the headboard. I noticed he had a rather deep Australian accent.
"Shut up." I mumbled as I covered my face with my hands in embarrassment, and to try and attempt to hide the little smile playing at my lips.
"As you wish." He shrugged, before throwing his hand behind his head and closing his eyes while reajusting his position on the bed.
"What are you doing here anyway?" I asked him as I sat on my bed and pulled my fluffy blue blanket out of my suitcase.
I realised that this couldn't be his room as he is a boy, so I saw no reason as to why he was here.
"Waiting for a friend. I guess you'll be her room mate huh?" He explained, eyes still closed.
"Yeah... I guess." I mumbled, still taking a few things out of my bag.
I felt awkward in his presence, specially while unpacking, but looking at him laying there so relaxed, I'd say he is perfectly fine with this.
I pretended to fiddle around with stuff inside my suitcase. Hopefully he would leave soon so I can resume with my unpacking. Jade and Chloe would be here once they were done unpacking their things, and to be honest, I want to be able to leave as soon as they get here.
